"I was caught off guard by how tasty the sandwich was! They have a great variety of breads, meats, cheeses, and condiments, so if none of their savory options interest you, you can also build your own! I don't drink, so I can't say anything about their alcohol selection, but everyone at the bar seemed to be having a grand old time. The bartender was also exceptionally friendly and answered all my questions about the menu with patience and a smile."

"My favorite Bagel shop, have been going here with the old ownership and the new one. The new staff took it to another level. "Philz Coffee is a laid-back coffee shop providing sustainable coffee, baked goods, and health-conscious light fare. Philz specializes in coffee blends made from sustainably sourced green beans from around the world, and roasted in Oakland. Best known for their Mint Mojito, a refreshing iced coffee made with muddled fresh mint. The location on Polk street has amply indoor seating and a customized iconic San Francisco mural. Staff was extremely friendly, efficient, and outgoing, and even offered me a warm welcome to the neighborhood."

"I love this place! Not only is the location amazing directly at the end of the south beach in this miraculous building and the inside of the restaurant is so imaginatiw and clever! the menu is simply sensational! my essentials are there, they are mushrooms, cale and hummus! and their cale salat is the most fluffy crispy meal! her probiotic bowl is also amazing! the drinks are also a fantastic selection. I also love their Mung-Bohnen-Stein! again mung bon, very high in protein and filling. the coworkers create the most friendly environment and put them in exactly the relaxed condition in which they need to absorb all the nutrients in this stunning food! Yes, they offer meat and fish, but it is easy to avoid, but would satisfy someone who loves to eat animals! thank you jennnifer and stephanie and see them in the next month when everything goes to plan!"

"I enjoy coming here with my kids for a simple breakfast/brunch. The staff is very friendly, the service is amazing (Rashid has served us multiple times) and portions are generous. The place is always packed so I recommend joining the digital waitlist onthe Yelp app when you?re on your way OR plan for 10-20 minutes to be seated. I wouldn?t say the food is exceptional but it?sgood. We really like the spuds. They have plenty of vegetarian options including vegetarian sausage. Note that they accept CASHONLY which can be inconvenient (took 1 star off for this reason). All in all I recommend this place and will definitely be backagain."

"Pros, GREAT COFFEE! I recommend taking a bag of coffee beans home. But again, a great cup of joe. I've only eaten breakfast here, and we love it. Nice urban atmosphere. Staff is always great. They usually work the wait line down quickly (like 5- 10 mins on busy days). Get your menu at the beginning of the baked goods display case. While you decide, you can window shop all the yummy pastries. Out door patio is right on the street. But if you don't mind sharing, there is plenty of seating. Cons, parking is limited, so be prepared to park in the back or at other businesses. (READ POSTED PARKING SIGNS). Staffing can get limited, so be patient. The max I've waited is like 30 minutes from parking to food at my table. But for the most part it is quik and easy here. Always a go-to place when folk come visit me in Baldwin county."

"I've been to this restaurant countless times, but my recent experience was truly the last straw. There seemed to be a lot of young staff working, and unfortunately, not one of them was able to do their job properly. They lost my order, which resulted in a long wait, and to make matters worse, I ended up getting a parking ticket. I had ordered ahead and arrived a few minutes early, only for the girl at the counter to tell me that someone had taken my order. Additionally, the owner was standing at the front door with some construction workers, blocking the entrance and failing to inform anyone that there was another door available. You might not suffer from losing business because you're located in Towson, but there's definitely a need for improvement here."

"food and drinks are absolutely incredible. cannot be topped. i’m from colorado and came to visit san francisco and was recommended java beach and it did not disappoint!! i had an iced butterscotch latte with soy milk and the flavor was absolutely amazing. i also had a hummus veggie wheat bagel and it tasted so fresh and the hummus was to die for. only complaint about the restaurant is the interior could use a little refresher, but it was still an enjoyable experience! going to miss this when i return home. thanks again :"

"During the Christmas New Year's break their hours have been consistently wrong on their website I have traveled to their restaurant several times only to find out it's been closed today literally getting there within an hour of them being closed even though the website says they're open until 9:00 p.m. they should really do a better job at letting their customers know what times they will be open and closed for instance posting it outside saying that during this time we will be closing early or whatever this is the worst.Their sandwiches are amazing that's why it really sucks after driving 30 minutes three times in the last week to get there to find out they are closed and good luck calling to find out their hours there is not a recorded message and even when they're open they don't always answer the phone I love your food please fix this"

"My first time ordering from here! The Breakfast Burrito was awesome! Super tasty with good egg, cheese and potato hash inside. It was hot when it arrived. I got a caramel Cafe Latte that was flavorful and had that wonderful, handmade, unique, family owned hole-in-the wall coffee shop kind of flavor that only places like this can have. Very good. "My husband and I were looking for a place to sit and grab a bite to eat and a good drink. We came across Corner Tavern on Yelp and it looked like it was right up our alley. Plus, I noticed they had some gluten free food options for me, which was great! We didn't notice a parking lot and only street parking, so you may need to walk a little bit depending on spaces, but the restaurant is located on the corner of a street with some other businesses and a seemingly quiet neighborhood. The inside is intimate and clean with friendly staff, who were very helpful with answering questions we had about the menu and drink suggestions. I ordered an espresso martini, the veggie breakfast burrito on a gluten free wrap and my husband got a draft beer. My wrap was so good! And it was a pretty big burrito for the price of it too! My martini was well made and my husband enjoyed his beer. We had such an enjoyable time sitting and chatting that we wished we lived closer because we could see this place being a great regular date spot. We decided that we will have to come back next time we are in town!"
