"My husband and I came in on a Sunday night with no reservation, for our wedding anniversary. The ambience is adorable, and romantic simultaneously. Absolutely beautiful, historic with soft lighting. Comfortable, ample seating. Our waitress, Amy, could not have done a better job. She was intensely attentive, patient, quick and answered any/all questions. The food was INSANELY GREAT. Full disclosure, it was an expensive meal (to me), since we ordered 2 appetizers and a meal. We ordered the wings, fig bacon pizza and the burger. We also each ordered a dessert, the affogato and tiramisu. We had a lot of leftovers. I can't even rank the foods, they were all just so memorable. I feel like we were treated like celebrities, like VIP, royalty. Truly outstanding experience in every which way. I'm excited to return! One of the best restaurants in ALL of NY!!!!"

"I recently dined at Pantry, located in Long Island City, and I must say that my experience was far from satisfactory. The restaurant's exterior and display seemed enticing, so my friend and I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we were met with overpriced, oily food that did not meet our expectations.To begin with, the menu did not display any prices. In hindsight, we should have asked for the prices, but we didn't anticipate the cost to be as exorbitant as it turned out to be. My wrap and my friend's burrito were both far more expensive than we could have imagined for such subpar quality.Speaking of quality, the dishes were a major letdown. What we received bore no resemblance to the appetizing food we had imagined. Both the wrap and the burrito appeared almost identical warm, soggy, and dripping with oil. The flavors were muddled, and it was difficult to discern the individual ingredients in the dishes.Not only was the food disappointing, but it also left us feeling rather ill due to the excessive oil. It's a shame that a restaurant with such potential failed to deliver on the most crucial aspect: the food. Given our experience, I cannot recommend Pantry in Long Island City to anyone looking for a satisfying lunch."

"We were seated next to 3 obnoxiously loud ladies in mid 20’s. Despite a look to tone it done, they continued. We asked for a table change which was politely and efficiently done. Five minutes later a group of 4 adults sat down, ordered and then also asked to be moved. Perhaps the manager should have stepped in at this point. A daughter and grandmother were then seated there and were very upset at the noise and probably due to all tables occupied they got up and left. Management should have quietly stepped in to handle this situation."

"Waiting to be seated took a long time, even after I mentioned to the hostess that I had joined the waitlist. Once we finally got to our table, we had to wait another 10 minutes for a server to come over. When she did, her approach was quite abrupt—she jumped right in with “What do you want?” instead of offering any sort of greeting. However, once we placed our orders, things improved. The food arrived promptly, but the chicken fajitas lacked flavor. On the bright side, the elotes were fantastic!"

"Tried El Piquin 2 for the first time today. The food was really delicious, and the service was good. The restaurant looked clean. The shrimp could use a bit more seasoning to be perfect. Update: Came back a few days later. I forgot to mention the great Latin music playing last time—it had me dancing in my chair, LOL! The chorizo is so good I had to return for more. My 13-year-old said it was a bit spicy after two tacos. The flan is tasty as well."

"Overall, my experience at the restaurant was quite positive. I ordered a burrito, but I felt it had too much rice, making it somewhat mushy. On the plus side, the other ingredients were excellent. The cashier had estimated a wait time of about 15 minutes, and that turned out to be accurate. The food was flavorful, although not spectacular. Aside from the extra rice in my burrito, everything else was up to par. In summary, I had a nice experience with the service, as the wait time was just as the cashier had indicated."

"The ambience was decent and the staff was good. Other than that, I can't say anything positive about this place. Our meals were lukewarm, mixed and some of the sides had no taste at all. While they have a bar and their own cocktails, if you ask for something that is not on the menu, you probably won't get it. And yes, unfortunately, even the cocktail drinks we ordered tasted awful. Bad bar staff. It also took them almost an hour to bring our food out. Two children's dishes, a chicken plate and crab cakes. I was very upset to say the least. Stay away. Go to Perry's Steakhouse next door. Exceptional food, service and bar area."

"I met a friend for dinner on a Monday night, and we enjoyed a wonderful meal. All the appetizers were delicious; I could have happily made a meal out of just those. The baba ganouj was outstanding. I ordered the cauliflower wrap, and the way they prepared the cauliflower was just perfect—absolutely bursting with flavor! They close at 8:00 PM, and there were only about four other tables finishing up, so it felt a bit awkward when staff came to the patio at 8:05 and asked everyone to leave. Perhaps they had already started cleaning the kitchen? "

"Customer service is non existent! The jerk taking the orders and working up front did not put our online orders in, not just one order but two, then said I got busy and forgot to put the orders in it?s okay I will put them in now. There were maybe 3 tablesof customers ???? No I?m sorry nothing just blew it off and could have cared less. Then after we waited for about 20 moreminutes for our food and were told we could have margaritas while we wait, supposedly no charge for the inconvenience, we wereagain insulted by having to prove we paid for our online orders. Obviously he was not competent enough to take the order and putit in so why expect him to be able to read and see we already paid. Then gives us a ticket for the margaritas! These were compdue to the inconvenience, he said no they are not free. This was discussed with him and the waiter. He was belligerent and rudeto all 3 of us! I have never in my life! The one order that was ready was cold, the other order was the wrong food and wasdisgusting and mine was the only one that was okay. My friend called back to address the incorrect order and got no where buthung up on! The food is not good anyway so none of us will ever be back! I guess that explains why the place is empty when wepick up our food! I?m sure this will be the next business to fold and all because of rude and nasty people running it! Plenty ofother way better Mexican restaurants and I would recommend going to one of those if I were you!"

"I eat here almost daily. The coffee is good. The salads are good. The sandwiches are good. The breakfast bowl is a great healthy and varied meal. The staff is friendly. The space is pleasant. Order my secret menu item, “The Nick Lunch Face.” It’s two hardboiled eggs, half an avocado, a bed of spinach leaves and tater tots for ten dollars. I made it up and ordered it so often they made it a secret menu item."

"We had a great experience at Pour Vida in Newport. We have visited the Anaheim location so we were excited to see the Newport spot. It is located in a business center so this would be a great spot to bring clients for lunch. You can make reservations so that’s really nice for large parties. The atmosphere is SO cute and lively. The restaurant looked extreme clean. I loved their menu because there are great choices for any diet type (vegetarian, vegan, health conscious, foodie, etc… You could get something you were familiar with or take a walk on the wild side! Their coffee was incredible and my husband loved the beer and cocktail selection. They had a good kids menu too. I suggest the smash burger! I loved the bright table cloths, fun painted walls, cute dish-wear and big portions. We will be back!"

This is truly one of the best parties we have had, and our friend, the birthday girl, was equally thrilled. "I think we just caught this restaurant on a bad night. It wasn’t busy but the service was not attentive. Some pieces of bread seemed stale and the portion size was not great. I had the Cod over mashed potatoes, it tasted good but the piece of cod could have been larger. My wife had the linguine with clams which she liked but again, portion size/value were lacking and 6 clams (cockles actually) didn’t open. There are many great restaurants in Gloucester and this may be one of them, but it just wasn’t on our first visit here."

"Years later from a top notch 5 star local cafe to the new owners cafe..has dropped to a 2 star..awful..cleaning rag on table had to get up ask for menus and was told to wait...then when finally getting a menu and ordering our beverages..the waitress went to other tables and did it again when we ordered..Looking around I see only two out of 16 tables that actually have food in front of them! Not a good sign...on a week day mid morning. Recommendation they need to hire two more cooks and three more servers.. Let's hope the food is good..The Sweet Mamas have left the building."

"Was browsing Happy Cow during a snack at Chez Elle across the street and saw that BBB was in there so we decided to try it for dinner. I didn't actually check HC to see what exactly was vegan so I just looked at the menu. After talking to the server she asked about the vegan option that was under the Catfish and apparently it's cajun (blackened) tofu over dirty rice with green beans and an aioli made with vegenaiseThe tofu was absolutely delicious and it was cut thin so it got crispy (my favorite). It's about $4-5 less (think the catfish is $21) if you sub tofu. It was delicious and I really enjoyed it. It's a bit overpriced so that's the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars, won't come back unless were in the area of Chez Elle but a good option if we are in the area."

"I stumbled upon this amazing restaurant and I love it. The good especially the veggies look and taste so fresh. I usually go on my lunch break and it’s always quite and I can relax and eat my food in peace. The staff is very friendly and polite. I always get the chicken and veggies bowl and it is always plenty of food. I don’t even need the sauce they provide it’s that good without it). I have tried the sushi which is good also but I’m not a big eater of sushi. I highly recommend this place. You won’t regret it."
