"I 've been a 20+ yr customer of Alitalia...but no longer. Last week we got 2 dishes from Alitalia and I had gotten sick. The food had tasted great. I wondered if I had gotten sick from there but guessed it wasnt them. On Sunday, 7/25/21, after seeing the Pizza Special on their website I called to order. However, I was told there was no special pizza for sale with no explanation. I ordered the pizza at full price. Several days later on Thursday, 7/29/21, I visited Alitalia 's website where I saw Chicken Night advertised and each dish was advertised as including a soda or coffee, salad, and a desert. Great! I called, ordered three chicken dishes (and two sides, soup, a pasta dish, a hero, and two large salads all costing 120+ . At the end of my order, I told the employee that I did not want the soda/coffee that came with the chicken dishes, and I inquired about what deserts were available with the chicken dishes. The employee, who I assume was a manager or owner (someone with a financial interest in the business exclaimed in the loudest and nastiest manner, Oh no! There ain 't no free desert with these meals. With prices this high for food, we can 't give away free stuff! I replied that I understood and placed my order. I picked up my food, and the teen worker looked at all the take out orders until he found my order (after he asked me twice for my name, asked if I was a Door Dash driver, and then asked if I knew what food was in my order . After receiving a large box with food, I asked if all my food was there, and he said that it was. Since I ordered multiple dishes, and the clerk twice looked at what I assumed were all the names printed on the receipts of the take out orders, and each dish was wrapped in a brown bag, I regrettably trusted him. When I returned home, the side dishes and both salads were missing, and one of chicken dishes was not what I ordered. What? There were several brown bags full of only bread that appeared to be meals. I called Alitalia and I was told that, indeed, the rest of my food was left behind. I asked if they could drive it over to us just a few minutes away but they said no. I returned and retrieved my missing food. And what was I offered for the inconvenience? A whopping 20 oz bottle of soda which I declined; my family doesn 't drink soda, and even if we did, I 'm not a broke a buster who needs a gift valued at literally 1% of my total cost to compensate me for returning for the rest of my food. Worst of all was when I returned home and saw that my chicken entree was still missing. We called and the guy in charge said we had to bring back the wrong chicken dish and then he would refund us! To what end is that? Hey if you got a chicken Tara this week it was mine that I opened to see what it was? Or was he just trying to incovenience us for no reason at all but spite? In this day and age of covid you can hardly return a supermarket item let alone a restaurant dish. That was just mean. When my elderly mom told him we couldn 't get there until the next day, he said that 's fine he would take it the next day! That would make a third trip back. We didn 't complain afterwards about the food being so oversalted (and lacking flavor in the majority dishes that we took a few bites and threw the whole order into the garbage bc of the amount of salt. The business needs to update its website to reflect the no longer offered drinks and deserts with its specials . This place used to be so good. Now it is unreliable and if you have a problem they will treat you like their enemy. I can 't help but wonder since the guy in charge was so unreasonable, and the place poorly run, is the food safe? We will miss the old Alitalia."
