"My wife and I have passed this restaurant so many times but have never been here.....So we finally decided to have dinner here and I must say... What an experience! My wife and I are together over 32 years...(She's the Love ?? of my life) and we havebeen to so many restaurants over the years..and SottoVoce is by far one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Fromthe moment we sat down, we felt welcomed and relaxed..and without even viewing a menu...our server explained and describedeverything perfectly...He was warm, friendly, passionate, informative, and very attentive...His service was Top Shelf.. Thefood was outrageous...From the appetizers to the deserts...My wife and I cannot say one negative thing..The food was cooked toperfection..fresh..flavorful..simply delicious..An amazing place and staff.. "we have sunk a little before 3:00 clock to san marco after we found our destination closed for the afternoon. Happy! our server called our attention to the savor sarasota promotion menu: three curs lunch for $20. my wife chose the aubergine (and mozzarella) tower appetizer, and I chose arancini. both dishes were generous portions for a promotional menu and delicious. for her entree ordered my wife flounder piccata, I chose osso buco ravioli (at a price;) both dishes were fresh and hot delivered from the kitchen. the fish was perfectly prepared, and my wife was especially happy with the fish and the quality of the side. my ravioli, in a mushroom Demi-Glamace, were delicious and again a more than generous part. for dessert we both decided for limoncello crème brulee, which type of hit all our checkboxes dessert; it surpassed our high expectations. service was timely, polite and super; business was easy, and our server could take more time with recommended and background. we have also found that the server is obviously proud of the facility and have spoken very of the administration; always a good sign, in our experience. next time we are in the inner city of venedig for lunch or dinner, san marco is to be seen at the top of our list."

"I wanted to try something new and I'm tired of chain-stuck houses. read the reviews of this small restaurant and decided to give it an attempt. our server was a very accommodating young man. the restaurant was like a small cantina at sea in mexiko. the food was met or missed depending on the product. the salate and calamari were excellent. my spaghetti and meatballs were simply edible! no taste for the sauce and the meatballs were hard and tasteless. the pepperoni pizza was literally the worst pizza of all time, and the pasta dinners of my children were very good! overall I would go again! they are fair with their shooting per glass."

"I was very excited to visit this restaurant and being able to dine inside again was a pleasure. Our server was great and the menu choices where outstanding! They where very busy with takeout so that's maybe the reason for my disappointments. I didn't receive my soup till after the entrees where served which is not that big a deal but I was a little disappointed in my Veal Marsala the sauce was outstanding but the one huge very tough scallopini was disappointing. The side of spaghetti pomadora was also a disappointment because it lacking any real flavor. Bland. My kids and wife thoroughly enjoyed there dishes of a pesto penne, calamari spaghetti, and linguini Alfredo with shrimp. This is a very delightful restaurant and we will return to sample more."

"When the food arrived, it was below standard considering the high prices we were paying. Then the real fun began. The manager, apparently frustrated, started loudly criticizing the missing bartender in front of the entire restaurant, mostly directed at his staff, stating that anyone who didn’t want to be there could go home. I had been advised by several people to try this place, but after this experience, I’ll never take their recommendations again. If you’re looking for overpriced meals, poor service, and being essentially told to leave due to bad management, then this is the spot for you. Otherwise, I suggest you skip it entirely."

"I had an unpleasant experience at La Vigna. I chose to visit based on their rating, which turned out to be quite misleading. I ordered a Branzino filet but was instead served a whole fish. When I mentioned this to the staff, they simply shrugged and offered no solution. My companion ordered the minestrone soup, which was overly salty and lacked any beans or vegetables. The chicken marsala main dish was also excessively salty. Unfortunately, this will be my first and last visit to La Vigna."

"after reading the reviews in the ct magazine I had high expectations of an unforgettable evening. while I can't say that everything was unsatisfactory, the meal was missing from the wow factor I had anticipated. their usually limited menu was still limited on the valentine day. all four in our party had previewed the online menu and had already selected our favorites, including appetizers. No one appeared on the Valentines menu. While we expected a solid pricing for wilton, a $5 fee for the exchange of appetizers was quite absurd, and a first for me. the restaurant is small, and two tables sister guests made normal talk difficult. unfortunately a fairly common occurrence in restaurants in these days. it was a long drive from new haven county that I did not plan to take back soon."

"This was my first visit, and it certainly won't be my last! The minestrone soup was excellent, and I ordered the chicken cacciatore, which wasn't on the menu, but the chef kindly made it for me anyway. It was the best I've had in 20 years! The only downside was that they only offered house salad dressing, which we all chose to skip. I also felt that paying $7 for a regular-sized cannoli was excessive. It was good, but I don't think any cannoli is worth that price."

"We had lunch here after the baptism of our sons and could not be more satisfied with this restaurant. There were about 30 people and I can honestly say that every single person really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The staff is also so friendly and attentive. I can't say enough, but the food is amazing. Very recommended for big parties or just a casual dinner for 2. Thank you for making our sons a better day!"

"I’m trying to figure out how this establishment gets good reviews. The owner is rude, smokes indoors, and acts like he really doesn’t care about his business. We went this past weekend, and sat at our table for 27 minutes before anyone even came to take a drink order. There’s usually one server working (aside from the owner), and she clearly only wants to serve her regulars. She’ll ignore everyone else. I understand the restaurant business is tough, and everyone has a bad day. But this place is consistently bad. The food is only so-so, it smells like smoke, and you feel like you’re an intruder instead of a guest. There are so many great restaurants in the area. Try those instead."

"When my friend arrived, she also ordered an apple martini and asked for a little less sour mix. After my sister and husband joined us, we were seated at our table. We ordered three appetizers and were also given bread. The waiter seemed indifferent, making it clear that our presence was a bother to him. We placed our meal orders, and my sister and son both wanted the eggplant parmigiana, but the waiter informed us that only one order was left. My sister ordered it, while my son chose a different dish. While we waited, my friend ordered another apple martini, but it, too, lacked the proper “green” color and was very cloudy. When she tried it, she found it didn’t taste right. I ordered another martini as well, and thankfully, it had a somewhat better color. My friend did mention her drink to the waiter, who then confronted her at our table, asking what was wrong. She explained it didn’t taste like an apple martini, but he insisted she had requested extra sour mix, while she clarified that she wanted less. He eventually made another drink, but I can assure you it still didn’t taste right when I tried it. When our food finally arrived, it was just okay. My sister is not one to complain or send food back, which is why she didn’t voice any issues. However, the eggplant was mushy and watery, making it quite unappetizing. Honestly, the entire meal was subpar. My husband had brought a cake to celebrate my birthday and asked the waiter if they could serve it to us. Once again, it seemed like a hassle for them to bring plates. The bill, excluding the tip, came to over $300. I don’t mind paying a premium if the drinks, food, and service are top-notch. I was extremely disappointed, and it really put a damper on my birthday celebration. The overall handling of the situation felt very unprofessional. While I initially hesitated to leave a negative review online and thought it better to address it directly with the restaurant, I will definitely think twice before considering this place for future celebrations. What a disappointment."
