"Unfortunately, the service was subpar. It took 20 minutes for our server to come and ask what we wanted to drink, and even after we placed our drink orders, he just walked away. He didn't check in to see if we wanted appetizers or if we needed help with the menu, which would have been particularly helpful since it was our first visit. It felt like he was annoyed whenever we asked questions. We had to flag him down just to get a refill on our breadsticks and to place our food order. It seemed he was consistently more attentive to his other tables.
Additionally, I couldn't help but notice that we were the only Black patrons in the restaurant, and it felt like that might have impacted the level of service we received. Other guests around us were treated with kindness and warmth, while we were largely ignored. I was so upset about the experience that I lost my appetite and couldn't even finish my lasagna.
Afterwards, I spoke with the manager, who claimed that she hadn’t received any complaints, but I dine out frequently and know what good service looks like. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share it. I will not be returning to this restaurant. The manager suggested I come again, make a reservation, and ask for her, but I’m not willing to give it another try. If I could rate it zero stars, I absolutely would!"
