"After the “I don’t want eggs but I really do want eggs” debacle, we found ourselves at the Kaukauna Family Restaurant (KFR) right there on Highway (technically KFR is on Crooks Ave I was still in “no eggs” mode and forced myself to look past the usual omelets and skillets into the more carb-heavy section of the menu. The Alaskan Waffle (vanilla ice cream on a waffle) sounded really good, but also pretty heavy duty for such early morning fare. "The service and restaurant ambiance are quite pleasant, and it wasn't too crowded at 7 PM, especially at the bar. The beer is served cold. However, the seafood fajitas were just okay; there wasn't much protein for the price, with more vegetables than shrimp, scallops, and calamari—only about three pieces of each. The dish lacked a strong flavor. I'll consider trying other entrees in the future, especially if management takes these reviews into account."

"Ambiance was warm and inviting. Maitre’D was welcoming. Server was overwhelmed, but polite and attentive when present (which unfortunately wasn’t often). Scallop appetizer was over salted and the pork belly which accompanied the scallops was devoid of meat and was largely fat at least 90% fat to meat ratio. My entree, shrimp with grits arrived while I was half way through my appetizer. Timing is important in a restaurant, a point sadly overlooked by this establishment. The shrimp were expertly cooked but the grits were swimming in butter and the same pork belly was also a passenger in this dish there was enough fat in the dish to make even a cardiologist blush. The richness of the over buttered grits and square slabs of gelatinous fat deterred from what could have been a tasty well composed dish. I didn’t order a dessert as they say bad things usually come in threes."

"During my visit to Ohio, I stumbled upon this restaurant and I absolutely loved it! It was probably the best breakfast I've ever had. The coffee was fantastic, the place was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The following day, I returned for lunch and was equally impressed! "Customer service is good, the pancakes are amazing, and the taco salad with grilled chicken is pretty good. I'm not wild about the desserts and the homemade biscuits are horrible. They're very hard and crusty. We didn't like the salad dressing either but with extra salsa, we didn't need salad dressing. For reference, the dressings we got were balsamic vinaigrette and thousand island dressing. Not sure if the other ones would have been better. We will be back for the pancakes. They do make the best pancakes! Better than IHOP and Denny's for sure. I highly recommend signing up for their birthday club on their website because then you get a free Bear's choice breakfast with no purchase necessary during the month of your birthday."

"ATMOSPHERE is absolutely fantastic at Carbones Prime. Not too dark and not too bright. The booths are large and comfortable to include a circular booth fitting around 6-8 people. PERFECT.BAR is massive with wrap around seating, along with window booths. PERFECT.DRINKS ? ? were exceptional to include my favorite. Absolute Vodka Martini ?, EXTRA dirty with Blue Cheese stuffed . PERFECT.SERVICE: Top Notch and shout-out to Aniela for her service to us the other night. PERFECT.EVENTS: I have been to several promotion ceremonies here in the adjacent private room and outside covered “patio”. PERFECT.FOOD: Bread ? upon arrival and olive oil was outstanding. The shrimp ? was cooked and seasoned exceptionally. I did not particularly enjoy the PRIME Bolognese. Though I love pappardelle the rest of the dish seemed bland. The only REAL taste was the sausage, but it overpowered the whole dish. Some pecorino in addition to the Parmesan and ricotta I think would have helped, even just provided on the side, along with a more hearty sauce with soffritto if not already included. So the food comes in as GOOD.Follow-me for more reviews!Vegetarian options: Plenty of salads to choose from as well as a delicious Primavera entree.Parking: This place is extremely popular, so sometimes the parking can be tough."

"My family and I came in to dine in. Table for 4 and the wait time was not bad at all. We came during brunch time and our food was great. No complaints! Our server Austin was such an amazing server. He was very attentive and super helpful. He made sure we were comfortable. Servers like Austin makes the place great and definitely want to come back! Highly recommend this place. The pancakes are amazing and I’m more of a French toast person. The ham and cheese omelette was perfect! However the strawberries were a bit bitter but in over all the food and place is amazing. Clean environment ?"

"This restaurant is quite disorganized. The host threw the menu on the table and simply said, "Here you go." Some of the workers appeared to be idle. However, the young girl and busser on Sunday night were excellent, while the rest of the staff seemed too preoccupied to serve the tables. My family ordered dinner and did not receive our soups and salads for our entrees until after we already had our main course. The food was average, and although we did finish most of our plates, it wasn't outstanding. The waiter also tended to drop the check off without confirming if we wanted anything else."

"After a long drive from Pittsburgh for a business trip, I stopped by this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with the food! They feature a fantastic variety of classic home-cooked meals, and the menu is quite extensive. The bakery is also noteworthy! "I was able to dine inside and I say that because this place gets BUSY, and for good reason too, they sell GREAT food. At first Walking in, I was expecting a generic we serve everything menu, but was pleasantly surprised that, including the general menu items, they had a plethora of unique menu items. I decided to be daring and go with a Habanero Bacon cheeseburger and man was that yummy! Great price compared to a more known fast food place, but the portion sizing is unrivaled. As pictured, they don 't sell no cheap July 4th walmart patties, oh no. They prepare a well sized Burger and helping of fries. I got a large soda, incase I couldn 't handle the Habanero, and was even more surprised that they had a fountain drink machine WITH flavor shots! Vanilla Cherry Pepsi?? Yes PLEASE. Lastly I finished my meal off with a Pineapple Swirl which was very delicious. Highly recommend this place. Will return again. Recap: great food, fun staff and large menu selection."

"I went to Dancing Marlin to celebrate my birthday on 12/27. This was my first visit and it was absolutely extraordinary at all levels. We called at 4:00 to see if we need reservations. Jackie answered the phone and her warm, bubble voice sold us. We came before the restaurant was opened, and Jackie said we should come in. She was gracious and treated us like old friends. Becky was our waitress and she was the best! Very warm, knowledgeable and exceptional service. All from French Martini to Spicy Shrimp, to Crab Stuffed Peppers, to Salmon Tacos was dying. Not to mention the homemade butter Pecan ice cream and brownies. Great. I can't wait to come back and bring my friends. It's worth the 10 miles trip. Birthdays are very special for me and Jackie and Becky were the best! Thanks again for your warmth on a very cold day and delicious food. Next time, Darlene and the My Best Girls Crew!"

"Visited this large sports bar on a Monday toward the end of the lunch rush. I was surprised how busy it was, but the owner told me that business was normal, or even a bit on the light side for a Monday, which is the least busy day of the week. Impressive! Note that by the time I took most of the pictures the rush was over. The venue is quite large, and able to accommodate large groups with ease. Lots of big screen TVs. I heard that local TV stations visit frequently during the football season. This place would be on my short list for watching a Vikings game. They have an arcade style game room with a TV, table and a couple of chairs, so if you need to amuse the kiddies and keep an eye on them, you’re all set. I ordered some bar food a chicken sandwich and fries. And a beer. I was slightly disappointed that my favorite local beer Surly Furious was not available, having recently been ousted in favor of Bell’s Two Hearted. The food was fine: chicken was well cooked, moist and tender, and a generous portion to boot. The fries were just how I like them gentle with the deep fryer and seasoning. I discussed the menu with the owner and he mentioned that their pasta dishes were especially good. I’ll come back for supper one o0f these days and give those a try. COVID: the staff all wore masks, and at one point I saw the owner gently admonish a customer for not wearing his mask while he was walking."

"I visited this restaurant on Christmas Day and the staff were extremely friendly! "The pizza and seafood pasta are absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place! The management and staff are outstanding, and the food is fantastic. The delivery is quick and the meals arrive hot. We order from Pat's in Havre de Grace at least once a week.
