"I went to Dancing Marlin to celebrate my birthday on 12/27. This was my first visit and it was absolutely extraordinary at all levels. We called at 4:00 to see if we need reservations. Jackie answered the phone and her warm, bubble voice sold us. We came before the restaurant was opened, and Jackie said we should come in. She was gracious and treated us like old friends. Becky was our waitress and she was the best! Very warm, knowledgeable and exceptional service. All from French Martini to Spicy Shrimp, to Crab Stuffed Peppers, to Salmon Tacos was dying. Not to mention the homemade butter Pecan ice cream and brownies. Great. I can't wait to come back and bring my friends. It's worth the 10 miles trip. Birthdays are very special for me and Jackie and Becky were the best! Thanks again for your warmth on a very cold day and delicious food. Next time, Darlene and the My Best Girls Crew!"

Hidden jewel in Frankfort!!! Very nice ambience and excellent service from Becky. We loved the seafood guacamole on their counter on CD

I love this place. I love it so much, I have my wedding reception there! I think the concept is great and we have nothing like that in the suburbs. It is like a restaurant moved from downtown to Frankfort.

Hostess stand had two extremely nice staff right as I walked in. They were also very accommodating when I asked to be seated at a different table than they selected. Waitress was wonderful. Food was phenomenal. View menu

I recently had dinner at this restaurant and had an amazing experience. The price per person ranged from $30 to $50. The food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch and I would rate them all a perfect 5. I highly recommend trying the Spicy Garlic Shrimp, Little Bit of Chicken Fried, and the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail.

We shared all of the dishes we ordered, including crab cakes, spicy garlic shrimp, mini lobster rolls, "not your daddy's" mac and cheese, and lobster bisque shooters. Everything was amazing! The weather was beautiful so we sat on the patio. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant. Service was great and we had a delicious lunch.

Disappointed. I truly want to like this place, but every time we go, there isn't much new on the menu. We went for dinner tonight and hadn't been there for about 2 years so I was hoping for something different and new to try. Unfortunately, they still had the same menu overall. A few specials. There is nothing on the menu that is prompting us to return. Frankly, I am done with this restaurant. Other local places keep updated menus with better options and better value. View menu

Very interesting food choices, good drinks. Table was really sticky and we sat in the basement which was a little cold and felt isolated. Creme brulee was overcooked and watery. We had really high expectations but the food fell a little short. Staff was really nice and helpful. Seems like it would be a great place for large group. They need to figure out sticky tables, made the dinner very uncomfortable. It's expensive and I feel they should be held to a higher standard.

I really enjoy the food and atmosphere here. Our server was very friendly and made our evening very delightful and smooth. Our food came out quickly and we were able to enjoy all the different dishes. The mahi mahi tacos were our favorite. At this restaurant dont expect to buy an entree and eat just that. Each dish is meant to share and pass around to friends and share all the great foods and flavors. You will want to make a reservation ahead of time. Try something new and enjoy your food with friends!

"Don 't be fooled by the Italian food neon sign... there 's more to Gibby 's than just Italian food. In fact, I would highly recommend that the folks at Gibby 's to remove that sign? Why? Because they 're probably losing business to people who don 't like Italian food and think that 's all that they serve. I 'd passed it many times thinking that very thing and never giving it a chance. When a friend recommend that we go here before an event downtown at Capital Cellars (which is right across the street) I was completely opposed until he explained that there is more to the menu than just Italian food. Apparently this place is a hotspot for lunch and at that time you can order at the counter in the middle part of the restaurant. So when we walked in and didn 't find any direction as to whether you seat yourself or step to the counter, we were a bit lost. Then a guy stepped up and said you were suppose to wait up front . Surprisingly, he ended up being our server. Dude, be nice and take into consideration that there wasn 't a sign that says wait to be seated . I was pleasantly surprised to also find that we were there during Happy Hour, which is 5-7pm. The specials includes beer, wine and appetizers. Score!! Don 't mind if I do. I 'm not sure if Happy Hour is offered on the weekends or not, we were there on a weekday. I did notice that they are closed on Sundays though. We started with an order of potato skins from the appetizer Happy Hour menu. I wasn 't too impressed. They tasted a bit frozen, or maybe premade... idk, something was just odd about them. I ordered an entree salad, which doesn 't come with meat unless you pay an upcharge. I decided to go meatless, since we ordered the appetizer too. The salad was excellent, except the croutons. Those were the hardest croutons that I 've ever had in my life. The hard boiled eggs were perfectly, without the green lining that some places can 't seem to avoid. My husband had the steak burger, which the waiter recommended. It was very fatty... so he pulled it from the bun and cut off the fat. If fat is your thing, there ya go."
