"Nice location along the river. Parking in the lot fills quickly but there is also parking on the street. Very modern and sleek appearance. Inside, the decor is a bit industrial with open ceilings showing insulation and other infrastructure. The staff was attentive without being intrusive and the service was nicely paced. Our server asked if we had any after dinner plans (e.g., show tickets) that would require a faster-paced meal. Interestingly, when making our on-line reservation, the system said they had a dining time-limit: weekdays 2 hours; weekends 1.5 hours. Half the menu is devoted to adult beverages. The food menu has a few items in each category – good for diners (less confusion, temptation and distraction) and for the kitchen. I saw fish, fowl, meat, and vegetarian options – not sure about vegan, though. The execution was a bit mixed, though. All the food looked lovely although only one was colorful (the scallops) and I didn’t notice many aromas (could be a function of my allergies though). The appetizers were tasty as was their wild mushroom soup. The beetroot risotto had very good flavors, but the risotto was not at all creamy and the vegetables were undercooked. The mushroom pave was mostly brown and reminded us of turkey stuffing, although the flavors were much better. The corvina special was well-cooked. The best dish of the night was the diver scallops – large, nicely seared, tender and sweet. The vegetables were colorful and very nicely cooked. We selected three desserts to share. The best was the “Any Colour You Like” popsicle – a nice blast of fruit flavor; sadly not prepared by the staff but rather a locally produced product. The Mocha cake had only a faint coffee flavor and the cake part seemed soggy. The worst dish of the night was the monkey bread – a large dish suitable for sharing, but the bread was dry and hard (needed to soak in something lovely) and the cherry brandy “pie filling” tasted like something out of a can. Not a good way to end an otherwise good meal."

"The atmosphere was lackluster, devoid of any energy or excitement. The staff exhibited a shocking level of indifference, offering abysmal customer service. The interior décor was uninspiring and outdated, failing to create a captivating ambiance. The music selection by the DJ was subpar, completely out of touch with the crowd's preferences.Adding insult to injury, the drinks were exorbitantly priced, leaving patrons feeling swindled. The crowd was unpleasant, showing little regard for personal space and making the already cramped space even more uncomfortable. Finding seating was an exercise in futility, as the arrangements were woefully inadequate. The overall hygiene of the venue left much to be desired, with dirty floors, sticky tables, and neglected restrooms contributing to a generally unclean environment. The management proved to be disorganized and inept, leading to long wait times and general confusion.Safety was a real concern, with overcrowding and insufficient emergency exits posing potential hazards. Hotel Chantelle failed to meet even the most basic expectations of a reputable night club, offering a dismal and forgettable experience. In conclusion, if you're seeking an enjoyable and memorable night out, it would be wise to steer clear of Hotel Chantelle. This establishment epitomizes disappointment and falls far short of what a night club should be"
