"I friend back home recommended this place. We made reservations for a casual Christmas dinner. We had an awesome 2 top in the front window with all the Lincoln Ave decorations lit up! Great service and food, and we so appreciated it on Christmas after a day of skiing! Italian cream sodas were the bomb, the wedge salad and bread was a great start, our entrees were delicious, and we had coffee and a fudge brownie sundae for dessert. What a wonderful Christmas Dinner!! Thank you!"

"This restaurant is the epitome of mediocrity. The Pine Grove used to be excellent, but those days are long gone. My wife and I dined there last night, and aside from the charming ambiance and fantastic sauerbraten, there wasn’t much to get excited about, especially considering the prices. The $60 steak was cooked well but tough and hard to cut through. It was disappointing to find that there were no German beers available on a Saturday night—just absurd. The strudel was passable, but again, nothing special; it was overloaded with raisins and walnuts. While that might appeal to some, it wasn't to our taste, and we were not informed about it beforehand. It wasn't a disaster, just unexpectedly chewy. If you have a time machine, go back 20 years to experience the Pine Grove Inn; otherwise, it might be best to preserve your fond memories."

"My son and I stopped in to grab a bite to eat. We both ordered different corned beef sandwiches. My son had ordered the larger sandwich, which was priced the same as what I had ordered. When they arrived, I was actually a bit shocked to see the size difference between the two. My sandwich only had a few slices of meat versus the absolutely mound on his. I wouldn't have cared much, except were the exact same price with no additional items for the smaller one to compensate. Had we not ordered the same thing I would likely had not noticed or even said anything, but the side by side comparison was hard to notice. The only other issue was the sheer amount of oil(butter? that was in the sandwich was so overwhelming it was hard to eat. After it started getting a little cold, it was unappealing. I spoke to the waitress, who asked the manager to come over regarding the issue. I wasn't upset, but genuinely curious as to how the restaurant could charge the same for these two hugely disproportionate items. I wanted them to be able to see the sandwich size difference, since a visual reference helped. From our seat, I could see the manager's reaction to the waitresses comments. The manager went back to the bar and finished her conversation with the people at the bar, cleaned up and after about 10 minutes came over to resolve the issue. The manager explained that while his order should have had double the size, it shouldn't have been this big of a difference. She removed one sandwich from the bill and did provide a gift certificate for future use, but this wasn't really what I was looking for. She didn't address the question, which is how the restaurant justifies charging the same amount for two different amounts of food? This was just sort of shrugged off. Whether it's double or triple the size, that's a huge difference that someone setting the two meals side by side will question. Maybe it wasn't originally supposed to be that way, and someone who doesn't know the food served or the restaurant created this menu and price. I will use the gift card provided to visit them in the future and see if they have resolved these small issues."

"A friend and I just finished doing the Macedonia Brook Loop Trail (highly recommend! and we were ravenous with hunger! We totally lost track of time and found ourselves stuck in that window of time between lunch and dinner that’s a big ? In regards to the kitchen being open or not. Clearly they were between lunch and dinner service and the place was empty aside from a patron sitting at the bar. As soon as an employee noticed us they were very pleasant and didn’t blink an eye inviting us to chose a table of our liking. No sooner did we break the ice with the server in regaling then with our hiking travails and asserting how hungry we were it seemed that ice water was already being poured into pristine glasses! We quickly put in an order, including a freshly made table side Cesar salad for 2 (highly recommend ! Everything came out quickly, cooked just right and well presented! I love the rustic ambience of this place! Rustic yet complimented with white linen table compliments! Thank you for greeting us with such warmth and for the wonderful food and service! It’s not lost on me in this era of often-times lackluster attention to customer service and details! Service: 5 Location: 5"

"I would call the food inspector on this place ASAP. As we were finishing our meal, a rat ran towards us under our table. My husband and I jumped from our seats in terror with our feet off the floor on to the booths. When the waiter heard me scream he asked if everything was ok... when I told him that a rat had ran underneath our table he had no emotion, no concern and had no sense of urgency to bring the manager over- he basically shrugged it off. We were unable to put our feet down because the creature was hiding beneath our table. As we were flagging for help and for someone to bring the check, we had to painfully wait another 10 minutes for the manager to finally come to “apologize” she said that the back kitchen door must’ve been left open and that’s how the rat got in. They were slow to present our bill, which we quickly paid and ran out. I will never ever go back to this establishment again."

"Half an hour for a drink order to arrive is too long. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks, both times it took at least 30 minutes for them to arrive. The restaurant was not super busy. The bar area had empty spots. The bar itself was half empty. It didn't matter if we ordered through our server or the manager. There was also the fact our server didn't check how our meal was. The quality of our meal was OK though some of the fried chicken was dry and lacking flavor. Isn't that supposed to be a specialty of this establishment (especially when the menu is mercifully concise and not too long)? But the enjoyment of the food was marred when our server made a big sloppy wipe of her nose while standing at our table."

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"I'm giving them a three star because their service needs to improve. We have been coming to this place for about 6-7 years and the sushi is on point. However after the pandemic their wait staff and service has been way too slow. I would understand if the restaurant was packed full of guests and the food got delayed, but we (two of us) went in around 3:30pm on a Sunday and there were only two couples. One table got served with their appetizers and it looked like the other had just ordered. As we were ordering another group of 4 guests come in and they got their appetizers and their main meals with sushi way before ours. It took them over an hour to make two sushi rolls and two nigiri sushi?!Our server was nowhere to be found and didn't check to refill my hot tea. It was never like this before. Couple months ago I did a take out order and again, it was a two hour wait to pick up the food when they originally said 45min. I think the manager was there and she gave us miso soup for the inconvenience. So I think the team is aware that their service is slow but it seems like it hasn't been fixed. I recommended this place to family and friends and they too are telling me the same feedback."

"This chain sells hard scoop ice cream in a variety of cones along with specialty drinks and ice cream cakes. This particular location has just a little bit of room to move around the counters, making it difficult for large groups to maneuver. On hot summer days, it can begin to feel very crowded. The good news is that it's clean. The staff is friendly and quick with service, so they're moving folks in and out without much delay. The most difficult hurdle for us was making our way through a group of people who didn't want to separate for us so that we could get to the register. This obviously is not a reflection of the business, besides the cramped layout of the store. The back up occurs because there are so many flavors to choose from and in order to see them all, you need to study two adjacent counters. I really can't complain about it since choosing your flavor/cone combination is second in fun only to actually eating the ice cream. We chose lemon curd in a cup and pistachio almond in a sugar cone. They were out of waffle cones when we were there, but I figured it was the universe encouraging me to rein in the calories. The ice cream was delicious and the outing was fun. We're already planning on which flavors we are going to try next time."

"Best breakfast in Provo! We had the banana bread to start (which is enormous and all too delicious) with the fluffy egg madam—whose eggs were enviously fluffy, buns were supremely fresh, and other toppings harmonized perfectly—and the funeral potato waffle topped with eggs over easy. The only thing the waffle lacked was hot sauce, which they have upon request; request I did, and the only thing that could make it better would be fried chicken breast. Add that and I’ll be back within a week of the announcement. Coffee was good, service was friendly and personable, atmosphere was what one hopes for."

"I pulled through the drive thru I asked before placing order did they still Honor the birthday scoop the cashier said yes. When I got to the window two young ladies looked at me stated I had to have to coupon or I would have to pay. My feelings must've shown on my face because she then proceeded to tell me to download the app and they will send the coupon tomorrow. I dont believe that because I know how autogenerated emails work. I feel like this is bad customer service. I wish the wouldve honored what she said look at my ID informed me on the app for myself family friends. I have no family here I was looking forward to getting my birthday ice cream.
