"Great company, friendly service and good food. What's not to like?! The three of us had not been to Patxi's in several years so we were hoping they still serve up a good meal. The restaurant had opened at 11:30 and we walked in after watching some entertainment going on in front of the Bankhead. Other than a large party coming in for a celebration, the place was not crowded for a Saturday afternoon. The hostess greeted us and asked if we would like to sit at a tall table or a booth. We chose a booth which we found to be quite spacious. Menus and little glasses of water were brought to us promptly. Our server was gracious and sweet and he explained the pizza lunch combos. We ordered two lunch specials which consisted of a slice of pizza and choice of salad and our other friend ordered the burrata caprese sandwich (burrata, tomato, basil pesto, red onion on herb focaccia). I mentioned that there used to be an arugula salad that I still remember to this day, but I noticed it was no longer offered. Our server said they could still make it for us even though it is no longer on the menu. Sweet! My friend and I ordered the deep dish spinach and mushroom slice along with the arugula salad. The salads arrived quickly and it was a good-sized, beautiful salad with grated cheese on top. The arugula was impressively fresh! The server offered freshly ground pepper which was the perfect addition. The table behind us had ordered side Caesar salads and they looked delicious too. We enjoyed our meals and had no leftovers! Should you need a party room, they have a separate dining area next to the main dining room where the large group was celebrating their party. It was private with lots of windows to the outside. Street parking is tight especially on weekends but there is a large parking structure on the north side of First Street on Railroad. I always park on or near McLeod Street."

"Located in the East Village, this rustic and unassuming little restaurant was featured in the Food section of the New York Times. So, it was no surprise that it was a favourite with my local New Yorker friends. <br/ <br/ Although it may not have looked it outside, Feast was spacious on the inside, with enough large tables and room to accommodate my group of seven.<br/ <br/ Peeking at the menu, I discovered this was no regular brunch at $29, this was a feast, offering a choice of drink, a variety of four appetizers, and a main selection. For that price, I was sold!<br/ <br/ The Beery Mary was a **** Mary and beer hybrid, and tasted just as you would expect it to taste. While it was refreshingly unique cocktail, it made me realise that messing with the sanctity of a **** Mary is a little bit sacrilegious. Sometimes, you’re better off sticking with the original.<br/ <br/ Our appetizers comprised of four small sides: a shot of juice, yogurt parfait, bakery basket, and a canape. The pint sized tastes and bites were perfect, and gave us an opportunity to sample a selection of items.<br/ <br/ For my main, I opted for the croque madame a grilled sandwich with prosciutto, pecorino, quail egg and mustard, served with a side of greens. <br/ <br/ Liked: well presented the egg toasted into the bread and the generous amounts of prosciutto made me eager to bite into this.<br/ <br/ Disliked: the sandwich, while tasty, was very salty ... too much prosciutto (is there such a thing? perhaps.<br/ <br/ Overall, while my grilled sandwich and Beery Mary may have fell a little short, it was still a very enjoyable brunch experience. The service was friendly and attentive, and Feast has a great vibe within its charming, intimate setting."
