"2020 really did a number on this place and I feel like it’s best years are behind. I used to adore the salmon fillet and hold it up with the very best that you can find in the valley. I got to give props to the management staff for making good when something goes wrong for the customer. They will make all sorts of allotments. The problem is I don’t think the entrées and the presentation match the level that the restaurant is aspiring to. A few times I had the bread and it was a little bit tough whereas many years ago it used to be very nicely done where it’s hard but not too much. Lately it’s been overdone and dry and not worth it. Skip the bread. I had the prime rib and that was decent well done but so much of the cut is from the fat that you lose about 2 or 3 ounces. It’s unconscionable though that the salad they sent me home with was put into a cardboard box which could leak through. I thought maybe they put some aluminum foil down in the box to keep the salad isolated but the regard for salads at this place has definitely fallen off from when I would go for lunch entrées with salad regularly to hoping you don’t get poisoning from it. Their sirloin is excellent though but doesn’t do anything that really justifies the surcharge of the location. I know recent times have hit the restaurant industry tough but the changes to the dining hall which make it feel less comfortable, the fact that there was no courtesy Wi-Fi for people waiting, and a lot of the disregard for the food despite the high asking price makes it clear that this is not a location to go regularly unless you have a really good discount on hand. With the sorry state of steakhouses in the Antelope Valley, it’s unfortunate that this location is slipping in their regard for presentation. They still know how to do steaks but everything else is slipping. I used to go here a lot more often and unfortunately my previous visit will likely be my last."

"Was honestly disappointed by this place. In the past often here and it was great. At first we went with reservations, but had to wait 15 minutes, angry, but okay, I suppose. The staff was not apologetic at all and was completely stone. We finally sat, but the staff forgot us. 15 minutes passed and we didn't even get water. We decided to go somewhere else, and we told them we'd go ahead because we don't have a service. The staff shredded and said without care. It was depressing to see a place I love to sink to this level of service."

"Visited this restaurant at 4/9/22 after a break due to problems in the past at this (and many other) location. We have no idea what has changed in this place, but WOW! The service we received was absolutely fantastic. The food on the bar was fresh and repeated several times while we were there. The manager was visible and worked as hard (at times harder) than the waiting staff and other employees. It was a pleasant change to see this level of teamwork. It was obvious that they were short employees, but they did not allow them to stop from complete orders and pride on their work. Great job! You have changed our opinion and opinion of this institution!"

"It was Saturday at 5:45 PM, and the restaurant was just beginning to fill up. We were thankful for our reservations. The food was decent, although my wife mentioned that the filet had a bit of a gamey taste. Our server kindly offered to prepare her another one. It took a while, but she returned not only with a new steak but also a loaded baked potato! My wife said the second steak was much better. I enjoyed my ribeye, although it was slightly overcooked for medium rare. Don't expect prime grade meat here; it’s more in the choice-plus category."

"We were a complete party of 9, including some friends (and their children) we had met for dinner. We waited nearly an hour for our food, then when the food did come out, it was cold. Two of our children had to wait for their food. Our waitress abandoned us for 80% of our visit. Refills were neglected, our cornbread and biscuits were missing as well. We had to ask for things repeatedly when she did appear. They were not busy, as we saw multiple employees standing around. We spoke with the manager who only offered free desserts for our young children, after 8:15pm by this time. After we declined the desserts, as they were NOT going to fix this situation, the manger only offered a simple apology, then disappeared. Nothing else. He apologized and disappeared. Unbelievable. Our waitress reappeared to deliver our checks. We are extremely upset and disappointed. As we sat waiting in the dining room after speaking with the manager, we noticed him speaking to another upset party not far from us. We paid for our full bill. We paid for cold food and having to wait to watch our children eat. We paid for a lack of service, and no support from management. Avoid this Cracker Barrel, as it seems the quality and attention to food and the guest experience is second-rate. We will not be returning to this location, nor any other Cracker Barrel which is a big loss for us, as we have had many wonderful memories and meals at various locations throughout the country. A stop at a Cracker Barrel has always been a tradition on every roadtrip where/when possible."

"Sam our waitress was super friendly and attentive, atmosphere was cozy with the meat side of the restaurant with meat available for purchase. Wine was excellent, white Moscato, salad with home made buttermilk recommended was delicious and the bread was a warm dense but not overly dense bread with whipped butter that melted right in. As far as the steaks, they were both cooked perfectly but im more of a salt and pepper person. These have a buttery herb seasoning that while tasted good wasn 't really what I prefer on a steak but that 's just a personal choice. Overall a great experience and I heard great things about the pork chops and ribs."

"First I was sat at a table that was not clean. The hostess gladly cleaned it after asking where to wipe. Next I placed my drink order, hot chocolate plain. I was told it would be a wait because the machine was being cleaned. I ordered plain hash browns instead of hash brown casserole lactose intolerant). I was told there would be an up-charge, I said fine. The hash browns were burnt to a crisp. The hot chocolate was served with a full head of whipped cream. I reminded Chloe my server that I asked for plain hot chocolate. She took it back and returned with a cup without the whipped cream. I drank three sips and became sick to my stomach. Obviously Chloe didn’t make a new cup. I will never go back to that location. Also I will be posting this review on my neighborhood app to warn my neighbors."

"We have never had any problems with anything. The fillet, Lobster tails, Sautee mushrooms, prime rib, EVERYTHING so delicious. The servers are always so nice helpful, so friendly with happy personalities !! We have NEVER been disappointed !!!! We have gone to other Black Angus 's, when we were out of our area, again, we have never been disappointed. One other thing that I might mention, they often advertise Specials , which we are always happy about go for the special, wonderful dinners. There have been several times that we were out about saw a Black Angus. I left the coupon for the specials at home. The Servers Managers, everyone are always so nice gracious. They honored the advertised Specials even without the coupons. We go to the Black Angus often, recommend them to others very often. I am hungry right now just thinking about the food great chefs staff working there to make our dining experiences exceptional. I forgot something !!! They keep their prices reasonable, especially compared to other steak house restaurants in the area, which allows us to be able to go out to a great restaurant, with wonderful food much more often !!!!"

"Went here for the second time and it was an experience worth writing a review for I guess. Service is good, waiter was nice enough, but I ordered the NY Strip medium rare and it was more medium than rare. I double checked with the waiter and asked what I ordered, in case he wrote down well done or something, and he said I did request medium rare. Told him the steak was overcooked and he just apologized, lol. I already ate half the steak at that point so I understand why hedidn?t offer a new one, though. I don?t have beef (no pun intended) with the service, just the food. The center of the mashed potatoes was still firm enough for me to cut through with a knife and have a flush, solid cut, so apparently theydidn?t reheat that for long enough. TLDR: Overcooked steak, undercooked (or under-reheated) mashed potatoes, grilled onions was the most delicious part."

"We ordered med steak and med rare prime rib. Steak came out rare and prime rib came out well done and dry. Not sure how you mess prime rib up, but there you go. Salad was watered down blue cheese and tasted more like water, soup had nutmeg in it or something was gross. They seated everyone right next to each other, even though there was only couples in there. Clustered us all right in front of each other. Manager is nice and our server was good. Just really disappointed in our food. We left without eating out appetizer and our dessert"

"This was the first time two out of the three people at our table had eaten at Cracker Barrel, and we had no complaints. The food was well portioned, and our waiter checked on us frequently. We visited on a Sunday afternoon, so it wasn't too crowded. We didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks, and they were taken off when we needed them. We had a 4-month-old baby with us, and he slept peacefully in his stroller during our meal. The bathrooms were clean, and the store was enjoyable to stroll through after our meal."

"We've had way better experiences here. Very disappointed with our service and meals tonight. We were seated promptly, given the holiday weekend and time of day. It took a while for our server to come to the table. We knew what we were going to order and placed our order. Waters were brought to our table. It took a while for our apps to come out and even longer for our meals to come out. I had the ribs, mashed potatoes and broccoli. For whatever reason the moist towelette was shoved into my mashed potatoes! We had to send back a steak that was not cooked as requested. One plate was supposed to have fully loaded mashed potatoes and had a baked potato. No offer was made to correct this order. We waited about 15 to 20 minutes for the steak to come back to our table, meanwhile our other meals became cold. I had to catch another server to request refills on our drinks and she appeared to be bothered by our request. She proceeded to refill my drink over my purse which was on a chair. Not very smart and so disappointing. When our server finally came back we asked for our check, boxes and our dessert to go. Our check had to be corrected since the steak came back with no mushrooms. The person who brought the check seemed annoyed by the request to have this charge removed. Not going to pay for something I didn't receive! The check finally came back, for a second time and we had to wait, again to get my card back. The guest across from us were also waiting. We handed our checks off to another person, who handed it to another person that handed it to our server ! So many other workers just standing around but not wanting to help! We loved coming here and had great experiences with Ben. Not sure if we'll be coming back ..."

"I have dined hear often for Birthdays, Anniversaries, and just because I have a craving for red meat. Recently joined family for their 60th Brunch experience and wow, for the price it was exquisite, and very tasty. The low was the ****** mary and and mimosa, but those aren't typical. The one low that has been consistent the last few times I've gone including the brunch was their shrimp. It tastes old, and a bit mushy. I would stear far away from the shrimp, especially the shrimp cocktail. But that could be due to the nature of which it was served (Cowboy/Wagon Wheel sampler and ****** Mary during a prix fixed meal).Their ribs, and the barbecue sauce is top notch. The rye bread and butter is a staple. If I don't take my wife, I always have to ask for one to go!Their steak and Filet Mignon, so good. The wedge salad is a must and the asparagus or brussel sprouts albeit hit or miss, are so good when they hit. I also suggest the baked potato soup!!! Bomb!!!Oh, and always, always polish the night off with a cowboy cookie. Bon appetit!"

"We were traveling up I-5 and decided to stop for food in Stockton. Android Auto/Google maps showed Lumberjacks Restaurant right off the freeway so we stopped. Easy to find and plenty of parking. We were shown to a table and given menus. Another couplecome in right behind us and the same hostess told them that she wouldn't seat them next to us because they turned on the AC andit will be cold. Nothing was said to us. Drink orders was taken and drinks were served. However, I also requested water it wasnever delivered. Also when we finished eating, the server put the bill on the table and told us to pay in the front. The tablesin the next row were given check plates and they were handled by the server. Discrimination? Lazy? I don't know. The food wewere served was average at best. Maybe the service colored our opinion."
