"During our conversation outside for the interview, I noticed that she was quite rude to the staff, snapping at one of them to clean up a mess, which made me feel bad for the employee. Throughout the interview, her demeanor was odd and unprofessional. As a 16-year-old, it was clear to me that her behavior did not meet the expectations I would have for a manager.
After the interview, she told me I would hear back within 24 hours, but I didn’t receive a call the next day. When I followed up, I managed to reach her, but she answered the phone in a very brusque manner. I would have appreciated a warm greeting, something like, "Hello! How may I help you?"
When I mentioned my interview, she asked for the name of the person who interviewed me but didn’t introduce herself, which I found quite unprofessional. Now, it has been a week with no follow-up call. This seems to reflect a larger issue, as I've noticed that many Chipotle locations often have rude managers and lackluster customer service.
It's disappointing because I was genuinely excited about the opportunity to join the team. I believe management should be reevaluated, as all employees deserve to be treated with respect. This has been the worst interaction I've ever had with a manager, and it's disheartening to not even receive a courtesy call back. Overall, it was an incredibly unprofessional experience, and just recalling it feels overwhelming. To the manager at the El Camino Chipotle – you know who you are."
