"Came here for my birthday and it was absolutely a great experience! Then took my family here immediately after that haha Service: 5/5 There is only one server but the service is amazing. He is very polite and great at giving recommendations. Also, there was a mixed up in order and the server immediately gave us a free dish on the house Interior/environment: 4/5 Kinjiro is right next to a popular sushi restaurant which always has a long line outside. However, Kinjiro is a lot more private and quite, which is a bit different from other izakayas. There are only 4 5 tables inside with simple interior design, but everything is very clean Food: 5/5 Dishes at Kinjiro is unique and absolutely delicious! It's one of the few restaurant where every dish you order has high quality. Organic baby spinach and mushroom salad I personally don't like vegetables but I finished the whole plate. The mushrooms are chewy and the salad is flavory with its special soy sauce, so i didn't even feel like I was eating vegetables Agedashi tofu this is the most underrated dish because most people see tofu and wouldn't want to order at a restaurant, but agedashi tofu is very different from regular tofu! It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Coupling with a flavory mush soup, this dish is definitely a favorite Green tea panna cotta the best dessert I've had in a restaurant for a while. Probably because I'm the quarter sugar in milk tea type of gal, most desserts are too sweet but this panna cotta is creamy, soft, and you can adjust its sweetness with sauce on the side. It's also the only dish that I ordered twice Bone marrow and black cod both great dishes and surprisingly sweet Uni both uni dishes that I ordered are unique: one is risotto and one is seared. It's great to try them but I would say that they are average compared to other dishes at the restaurant Overall i think Kinjiro is the perfect izakaya to hang out with friends and family while drinking some sake. The only downside is that it only takes email reservation and you have to book days in advance."
