I wasn't feeling well today, so I decided to order breakfast for my family through DoorDash. Unfortunately, my food arrived with the grits spilled everywhere because the container had tipped over. Since the grits were packed with my kids' pancakes, some of that got into their pancakes too. To make matters worse, all the condiments became covered in grits as well.
While it's clear this was primarily an issue with the delivery, I believe Loc's also shares some responsibility. Customers are paying not just for food but also for delivery fees and tips, so it’s important for Loc's to ensure that the food representing their establishment is properly sealed and secured to prevent mishaps like this.
I spent $42 on the meal, but DoorDash only refunded me less than $6. I couldn’t serve the food to my family because if the grits fell over, how could I be sure the rest of the order was unaffected? The bags weren’t tied shut, and there was no seal, so I was left feeling uncertain about everything.
My suggestion for Loc's is to implement some safety measures for delivery orders. This could include using tape on to-go boxes, tying bags securely, and being more thoughtful about how items are packaged together. For example, it might be better to put grits in a separate container or to use bowls with lids that offer better sealing. I’m not saying that the food itself is bad, but I do believe the way they package delivery orders needs improvement."
