"I just tried to order food to be delivered and I was unable to on their website so I called the restaurant and they refused to take my order on the phone and said the only way I could order was to order through their website. I asked if they used a third party and they said no, they just would not take my order over the phone. The manager said that's the way they did it.. I've never eaten there before and I know I never will now... Okay.. update on review.. just 6 months later I broke my rule and decided to give this restaurant a second shot.. I ordered an 8 oz ribeye and received a steak that was cut lengthwise so I had this skinny little piece of steak, granted it was very tasty but it was well done and skinnier than fajita meat. I have never in my life ordered A steak from a restaurant and they up charge you for vegetables and up charge you for a baked potato. What steak restaurant have you ever been to that They upcharge you for a baked potato with a steak.. $36 for a steak that was literally probably a quarter inch thick baked potato and I also ordered the creamed corn which was inedible.. It wasn't creamed corn. It was corn soup that was not at all good... I will never ever eat here again.. I can go get a great steak and baked potato for a heck of a lot less than $36 that is not thin as paper.."

"My brother-in-law really enjoyed our visit to Autobahn 101 in Lincoln City, so he suggested we try Glockenspiel in Mt. Angel. I had forgotten about my previous visit, where the food was just okay and there were staffing issues. However, two years later, our party of four decided to give it another try. We were hungry for German food and drove from McMinnville to Mt. Angel. We called ahead to confirm they were open until 7:00 pm. When we arrived at 2:00 pm after a 45-minute drive, we found that they were closed. The waitress explained that she was the only server and couldn't handle more customers. Feeling sorry for her, we offered to wait at the bar until she was ready. After a 15-minute wait, she took our order. We ordered a bratwurst sausage with sauerkraut on a bun, but the sausage was undercooked and the sauerkraut tasted very garlicky and confusing. However, the cabbage rolls filled with ground beef and onions, served with mashed potatoes and garlic toast, were delicious. The fondue cheese dip was good, but the bratwurst was dry. When we left, the waitress apologized and thanked us for coming."

"I had the spicy beef goulash soup and a carving combo, while the rest of my party ordered brisket, a bratwurst combo, and a beef dish. The portions were generous and we had to pack some of the food to take home. We also ordered two beer samplers - one domestic and one imported, with different varieties. Yolanda and our waitress explained each beer to us before we made our selections. The atmosphere was pleasant with warm bread and butter served at our table. Everything we tried was delicious and we left feeling satisfied. The bill for the four of us, including the soup and two beer samplers, came to $122.50 before tip, which was very reasonable. It was my first time dining here and I will definitely be back. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate this restaurant a 20 for anyone looking for authentic German food. It was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend checking out their beer garden as well."

"We were heading to Pittsburgh for the weekend and needed a stop for dinner on the way. I came across this place based on our timing and gave it a shot. Neat little place with an old-style feeling to it. Super-friendly staff. We split the combination:beef medallions, schnitzel, bratwurst, spätzle, potato salad, sauerkraut, red cabbage, and green beans wrapped in bacon. Ithink the schnitzel, sauerkraut, and red cabbage were my favorites. I'm not a fan of mayo, but even the potato salad wasn'tbad. "This place is a beer garden with food that's exceptional and above average. It's definitely not the usual lackluster comfort food you might expect. They serve a variety of delicious traditional German dishes, including Wiener Schnitzel, spätzle, and an assortment of homemade sausages. You order at the counter and your food is brought to your table. While there is indoor seating, most patrons prefer to sit outside at picnic tables when the weather is nice. Many tables are equipped with umbrellas, providing ample shade. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and enjoyed live music from a German band. The food was outstanding. The Wurst platter featured all five of their German sausages along with homemade sauerkraut. The potato pancakes were delightful, and the Wiener Schnitzel, spätzle, and German potato salad were also excellent. For those who prefer familiar options, they offer gourmet burgers, fries, and soft pretzels as well. We’ll definitely return whenever we’re craving the flavors of our childhood."
