"This is an incredible restaurant that caters to both those looking to indulge and those in need of a quick meal. Tawara is the perfect spot. The staff is very friendly and always ask about any food allergies or dietary preferences, such as vegetarian or vegan options. The food is absolutely delicious, particularly the cold noodles served with dipping sauce and the miso. If you see the pork chops on the menu, don't hesitate to order them—you won't regret it. Once you try them, you'll want to come back for more!"

"Some very good, genuine ramen here. I also was a fan of their buns, green beans, and japanese soda. The spicy tonkotsu was good but not very spicy, so good thing they provide extra spice on the side at tables. The ramen was great but doesn't stand above a couple of my other favorite Manhattan ramen spots: Tonchin and Ivan. However there is a wide variety of ramen offered here that I don't see at many other places which is nice. Also I love the atmosphere here! I'll be back to try their different ramen variations for sure."

"People usually order udon, ramen or soba, but I always order their katsu curry. Their chicken teriyaki is in the drier side. I stick to what I like most: katsu curry. My date loves the tempura udon. The decor is nice and cozy. It’s a small place but at least the bathroom is big. They have special’s of the day, which are good sometimes. I don’t try it too often."

"I ordered the Pork Katsu Curry Donburi, Chicken Teriyaki Donburi, and a side of Karage. The curry was fantastic—perfectly flavored and with a great consistency, reminiscent of the old Lemon Life to those who remember it! The Karage was also quite good; it was tender and the accompanying sauce really enhanced the flavor of the chicken, though it did have a bit of a spicy kick. However, the Chicken Teriyaki is where the meal fell short. The chicken was slightly chewy and, unfortunately, there wasn't enough teriyaki sauce—it seemed more like the chicken was simply marinated rather than sauced. On a positive note, the vegetables that came with it were fresh. If you add an extra side of curry, it’s definitely worth it!"

"service was very good and ambiente very nice. very spacious seating and minimal interruption from the personal. the food presentation is great. the taste of eating is variable. scallop sashimi was very good and other sashimi is good. unagi is good, ochsenzunge is much too salty and spicy (says a little sharp on the menu,) auberginen very oily. no raven on the menu. not expensive considering the ambient, but not cheap. $150 for 2 adults and 1 child. could have gone to a steak place to eat better quality. I'm glad we tried!"

"My wife and I popped in on a Saturday at 7pm for dinner and had a great time. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I ordered a spicy dish, which was sufficiently spicy to grab your attention but not assault you.The room we were in looked as though it seated about 30 people, while everyone was talking, my wife and I could still talk quietly to each other. We were seated at the bar closer to the door. The AC poured over our spots, which was nice considering how hot it was outside. While the staff was quite busy managing the constant flow of arriving and departing guests, our needs were readily addressed. The cocktails and beer were well constructed, balanced, and varied. A few varieties of Sake are also on the menu. The food came out relatively quickly. The price to portion ratio was well balanced. Definitely a place to stop if you are looking for a wonderful date night location or someplace to take co-workers."

"I've been a vegan for five years and often dine out at various restaurants. Over time, I've returned to this particular place several times and have noticed a decline in both food quality and staff service. Although I haven't received any meat in dishes that were promised to be 100% vegan in the past, I was taken aback to find meat in my ramen this visit. Furthermore, our server didn't check on us for over 30 minutes after our food was served. While I understand that mistakes happen, this incident indicates a serious need for retraining in the kitchen. It's troubling that such a significant error made it to a customer's table without being caught by either the kitchen staff or the server."

"Delicious ramen in Marietta Square Market! You can tell they care about the food they serve and love the little details of everything the menu and design are great! We ordered: Tonkotsu Ramen a classic creamy broth! The pork is super tender and tasty, the broth flavorful with lots of extras like fish cake, and the eggs were nice with a runny yolk! They gave us an extra egg cuz they noticed my wife and I were sharing. Yum! Pork Belly Buns these are my fav!! They?rehefty buns and I love that there are so many components that give each bite a nice combination of textures! The sauce is delicious and the pork belly is tender. I will definitely get this again. Matcha Beignets these are a creative takeon a classic tasty dessert. They?re airy and chewy, and the matcha powder sugar isn?t too sweet and gives it a nice hint of matcha taste. I don?t frequent Marietta square as we live a bit further away, but will definitely try to come herewhenever we?re in the area! There?s so much more to try on the menu!"

"Please get a working phone. When I wanted to order online, it said that the restaurant is not taking online orders. I know they are open based on hours online. So I called multiple times. No response. I decided to just place the order in person because Ido like the food so much. This has been a problem for many months so I wasn?t too surprised. I placed an order for Tom yumramen, one chicken and shrimp. I get home and I see that there is no shrimp in the broth for shrimp Tom yum ramen. It?s okaythey forgot, even though they wrote on the container (see below). I called again to notify them of my situation and see if theycould do anything to remedy it. They again did not pick up. It is disappointing that I can?t get a response. I am a loyalcustomer. I know things are busy and mistakes happen. But I would like some compensation for my incomplete order that I paid forin full."
