"One of the best restaurants in Boston. Dine in service is usually slow plan on it. The selection of Ethiopian beers and wines rotates, you have to ask once there. That said, every single thing on the menu has blown us out of the water coffee, wine, injera, and all the meats and lentils. They also deliver through the normal apps, and we've never had complaints the food holds up well."

"This is our new favorite local BYOB spot. We've been twice now. The staff is very warm and friendly and the food is superb. If you like well crafted food and are willing to pay for very interesting tasting, beautifully plated food then this is a great place to go. We've been twice and both times they have been great with dietary restrictions as well. It's charming, casual enough to walk in (if you can get in!) but also a great place to take visiting friends and relatives or for a special night out or date. The Wayne area needed a place like this. We'll keep going back for sure."

"Very pleasant dinner at Chercher. The food is delicious, the servers are attentive, and the other guests who are often groups of friends or families are enjoying their meals too. A very nice, laid back and relaxing place."

"We were warmly welcomed by the owner and furnished in a beautiful room with Ethiopian works of art and the national flag. We ordered the Addis Abeba plate, which could feed five easily and cost less than $30. Red lentils, yellow lentils, charcoal, beef stew, Lammeintopf and chicken dorovate. Unbelievable!! We are silent, it was good. The Injera bread was soft and tasty, and when our host saw that we were low, immediately brought more. (There is a tradition of using small pieces of bread to wrap stew instead of forks. It is particularly polite to make a choice and to feed it to someone like this, you know: Good place to meet! We had the Ethiopian coffee service for $15: It is freshly made best quality Ethiopian coffee poured into small cups of table side. It is more coffee / espresso than two adults can drink... This is a better choice for a group. There is a buffet for lunch and dinner, there are African beer and traditional Ethiopian honey wine, and it is a very family-friendly atmosphere. There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant, and it is in a safe neighborhood. The gold standard for me? Five more Ethiopian expats eat there. There is a shop at the restaurant selling spices, smokers and textiles from home. We'll go back soon!"

"I've been to most of the Ethiopian restaurant in Rochester and I have to say that Addis Ababa was so far the best. The restaurant itself is very clean, I liked the decorations on the wall as well as the authentic Ethiopian music. The dishes we had were delicious and nicely presented. They accommodate dietary restrictions, I recommend their food for vegans as well. You may have their amazing coffee that they roast, grind and brew for you right when you order it. All the staff members are super fr … – show"

"The food is delicious and healthy, with each order prepared fresh. The service is fantastic. They are friendly and attentive.Great location right in Nubian Square, accessible by T and with parking nearby. This is my go to spot when I'm on my healthy eating kick, or just looking for something warm and hardy but not too heavy. Great vegetarian options that will satisfy even a meat eater like myself.Vegetarian options: Many ethnic variations. Too many to list, but some of the tastiest and I have experienced. Let's just say it's tough to decide because they all look so good! ?Parking: Municipal and street"

"Unfortunately I have to echo some of the recent negative reviews. We got the veggie combo $16 and it was ridiculously small, not even enough food for one person. The food itself was mediocre at best. Later we were told we should have ordered for two even though the server said nothing about that. They were out of the 2 beers I asked for. Everything is served on Styrofoam and plastic, a terrible waste of resources. The injera tasted old and stale. The bill was wrong when it came. The server LAID DOWN in the booth next to us and read a book while we were eating. I wish I were joking. We spoke to the chef, who didn 't seem surprised at our dissatisfaction, and offered to discount our meal by ONE DOLLAR. Something is wrong here, and maybe it 's best folks stop going here and Dahlak is put out of its misery. There are other good Ethiopian spots in West Philly, e.g. Abyssinia and Gojjo. Go there and avoid the disappointment and wasted money at Dahlak. One of the worst dining out experiences I 've had in my life."

"When we came in, nobody was there to welcome us. we waited and someone finally came up and sat down. we were not provided menus, but we were told that the waitress would be right with us. five minutes later we get water. waiting and someone asks if the waitress stopped, we said no and she tells us the waitress went home and she would help us. the owner comes to take our order after another long waiting period and then realizes that we don't have menus and then we'll leave. the woman who served us was also the cook. our eating was cold and the waitress told us it was supposed to be cool. I understand that the inerja raumtemp was, but everything was cold. the eating lacked salt and then the portions were not worth the 16.$ the chicken breast was dry. the best for us was the sambusa and the lenses, although the lenses also lacked salt. the waitress who helped us was very beginning and honest and we liked them, but the whole experience was not more fun. when we were asked for two more orders from the sambusa, we received one and said that they would close soon and no longer sat a few; it closed at 10 and it was 850 when we asked."

"Food 5/5 Service 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 I came here for an early dinner at 5pm with a friend. The restaurant had one other party of 2, and was otherwise completely empty. We were seated immediately. My friend, and I were a little overwhelmed by the menu, given the many choices. We asked our waitress for a recommendation and she let us know that they offer combination plates in which we get to choose 4 different things to try. This is what my friend and I ended up getting. Another thing I liked about the menu is that they offer the same things in a spicy and non-spicy option. My friend and I got a few of the same things but she got the spicy version and I got the non-spicy. Overall, I would rate the food 5/5. It was delicious and I was SO full by the end of the meal. My one disappointment is that I had ordered a coffee, which came out in this beautiful jug. I had only consumed maybe 1/3 of the coffee when the waitress came and said that another customer ordered the coffee and she needed to take the jug away. I thought she would take the jug back and pour the remainder of my coffee into a mug or a different container for me. She didn't. She took the jug away, and next thing I see is the waitress bringing that same jug to the other table. I was very disappointed that I paid for the entire jug of coffee and only got to drink maybe 1/3 of it and I was still charged the entire price for it. Knocked off one star for the coffee incident, but otherwise I would absolutely recommend for the food!"

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at an Ethiopian restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped in, the ambiance transported me to the heart of Ethiopia. The warm colors, traditional decor, and authentic music set the perfect tone for the culinary journey ahead. Now, let's talk about the food. Oh my goodness, it was incredible! Each dish was bursting with flavor and made with such care and attention to detail. The spices and herbs used were a true testament to the rich culinary heritage of Ethiopia. The injera, a traditional Ethiopian flatbread, was soft and spongy, perfect for soaking up the savory sauces and stews. One dish that stood out to me was the doro wat, a spicy chicken stew. The tender chicken simmered in a flavorful blend of spices was simply divine. Another highlight was the vegetarian platter, a colorful array of lentils, chickpeas, and vegetables, each offering a unique and delicious taste experience. To top it all off, the service was impeccable. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. I left the restaurant feeling not only satisfied but also enriched by the flavors and culture of Ethiopia. In conclusion, if you're looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend this Ethiopian restaurant. The combination of delicious food, inviting ambiance, and exceptional service makes it a must-visit for any food lover...??"

"came here on a Friday night to the spitsbirth day. the reservation was a key, also for an early seat like ours. small it area felt in the opposite too crawled, thanks to high deck and low lighting. prices were reasonable, generous. server was competent and attentive. the small table was quickly and unobtrusively clarified between the cursors. the food itself was edible. dh’s crumbcake, while the majority scab, was a bit too wet, passed on slick. the frutti di mare was overdone, although this would have been less remarkable with a marinara in the opposite to the white wine reduction I had. we enjoyed the pleasing Calamari Appetizer. we were full at the end and had no place for one dessert. we didn't want to finish the night, but don't need a table, we've got the bar and had cocktails. dh’s brandy was given in a stone glass. he had to ask for a sniffer from the bartender who confessed he was new. the bar ambiance would have been nicer without a TV bank appearing, but everyone seems to be staring in these days on a screen around the clock. overall we had a great night together, eating and drinking while not exceptional was plentiful, and the atmosphere was alive and yet pleasant."
