They are friendly and attentive.Great location right in Nubian Square, accessible by T and with parking nearby. This is my go to spot when I'm on my healthy eating kick, or just looking for something warm and hardy but not too heavy. Delicious authentic Ethiopian food in a modest setting. Friendly, attentive, and quick service. Sambusa was bomb and the combo for two filled us up

Fabulous food and fabulous service. The gored gored is seriously filet mignon quality, perfectly spiced. Family owned and run: made us feel right at home.

Delicious food. Authentic flavors. Fresh injera. Totally worth the trip. The owner was kind to me and my 3 teens arriving for for a full dinner 30 minutes before closing. View menu

Very good food. Injera was fresh warm, the dishes were all spiced perfectly.Sit down service but pay at the counter for anyone else that is anxious about looking like you don’t know what you’re doing!

Such a great place, the staff attended us briefly and in a friendly. A bit on the smaller side in terms of seating. We ordered the beef sambusas and they were amazing. For our entree we had the Yebeg Lamb Tibs and they were wonderfully cooked. Overall around 25 dollars per person. Highly recommend

My husband and I visited for a vegetarian and vegan dinner, and everything was absolutely delicious! My top picks were the tofu tibs (I will definitely be back for this dish!) and the tikil gomen. My husband particularly enjoyed the yemis wot and tegabino. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic! For those seeking vegetarian options, there are plenty of delicious choices—be sure to try the tofu tibs! View menu

This was my first experience at an Ethiopian restaurant, and I was truly impressed. The group I dined with ordered a range of dishes, all of which looked and smelled fantastic, but most of us chose the combo for one. It came with injera bread topped with a variety of side dishes. The flavors were incredible, and the portion size was definitely worth the price. Eating with your hands added a fun and unique touch to the meal. The interior is somewhat cozy, but there is outdoor seating available for those who prefer it!

I only had the chance to sample the Ethiopian coffee, which was delightful with a hint of cinnamon. As soon as I walked in, I recognized the owner, who has been running the original Fasika Restaurant in Somerville for what feels like decades; I've visited her other restaurant many times over the years. This is a cozy little shop with just a few tables. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely try their food, as Ethiopian cuisine is one of my favorites. I don't expect to be disappointed, especially since their Somerville location is one of my top picks.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
