"We visited this restaurant for a family birthday celebration with our two children (ages 2 and 7) and had an excellent experience. The service was outstanding, with our server proactively bringing both adult and child-sized cups to our table without us having to ask. As a vegetarian, I especially appreciated the queso fundido with mushrooms, which was a delightful option. We dined on a weeknight when it wasn't very busy, but everything from the service to the food and drinks was top-notch. We will definitely be returning!"

"We came across this restaurant by accident. It was late and we were looking for a late night snack. This place is open 24 hours! We ordered a medium pitcher of margaritas, which was a great amount for 2 people to have fun! We ordered 5 empanadas. We got El jefe, jerk and cheese, Bombay, bourbon chicken, and Mac and cheese. My favorites were Bombay, bourbon chicken, and el jefe. The meat in these options was tender and delicious. If you like curry, you’ll love the Bombay! The vegetables in the bourbon chicken were such a wonderful addition. Both sauces were very good and the red was a little spicy too. The Mac and cheese was good, but too rich for me. The red sauce really cut down the richness and balanced it out, but the other options were better in my opinion. The staff were very nice and accommodating. We would absolutely come back!"

"The food was pretty good but it took 45 minutes for us to receive it. A salad, short ribs, French fries, and ceviche. I don't know if they forgot to put the order in or what. The waiter apologized multiple times which was nice, but he never checked on us, no drink refills, nothing. It was unfortunate it was such a disappointing experience because the restaurant itself is beautiful. We were really looking forward to the visit."

"The food was great! However, service was horrible. They forgot our drink orders and 3 different people returned to the table 4 different times to take the same order. Then they confused our drink order with another table. When we finally got our drinks, after about 30 minutes at the end of our meal, they blamed the bar for the delay. However, the bar was nowhere near busy and the bartender at one point was just standing doing nothing as we waited. The drinks were good, not worth the wait. When we ordered to dessert we had to ask for cutlery twice. They dropped the dessert off and 10 minutes after it had been obvious they had no intentions of giving us cutlery. When we asked the first time, a person (who wasn’t our server) came back 5 minutes later and stated “Oh I forgot”. Then offered us a round of shots which never came. We weren’t upset about the shots not coming because at this point we wanted to leave. When we left, we paid in cash and headed out. The server chased us down the block, yelling, “HEY”. When we finally realized someone was speaking to us we stopped and turned around, she asked us if we paid. We said that we had and left it all in cash on the table. She stated “Oh you left it at the table. Okay.” It’s obvious she did not even check the table decided to that chasing us down the block like we had dined and dashed was more appropriate. Overall, we are never going back to that restaurant."

"I was in most of the many Peruvian restaurants that have appeared over the years and visited them. By far, this is the best service in Fairfield County. Political, informative and this food was freshly prepared in minutes, I have ordered many times from here on Grubhub, but came today personally and what a welcome surprise to get such a nice service. Could you imagine I return? Such a relaxed end of a challenging day! Well done! June 2021 Sad I had less than an extraordinary service today, but I will change the review because I am not so annoying and in the future will try again with hope that the service has improved until then."

"My first time at this 412 Broadway location. Food was delicioso, we ordered various items. The ambiance in the outside seating area was pleasant. But the margarita was not good, not once but twice was made bad, and the service could've been better . Who makes their customers wait 15 mins for us to ask for the check and to wrap up our food to go. Girl, you see me waving at you... I literally had to go inside the restaurant to the kitchen staff and ask for go-to trays. For this, next time, I'm going to the 830 Broadway location; it may be small and lacks parking but the service is good and you don't have to wait 15mins to ask for the to go trays or the check Parking: An abundance of parking in the lot, conveniently located at the back entrance into the outside eating area--enter restaurant through the white gate. But be sure to check the time you park so you avoid getting a ticket. Kid-friendliness: The kids were entertained. I wish they gave out to the guests kids coloring books and crayons, or something to draw--theme related too."

"Wonderful mix of cold and hot (and meat and vegetarian) tapas. We had the bright citrusy avocado jicama hearts of palm salad and then the fun crispy baby spinach, wonderfully crunchy quinoa crusted shrimp, and ropa vieja tostones. The only challenge was there by chance happened to be a wine dinner also occurring at the restaurant at the same time, so service was understandably busy/stretched out and it got really incredibly loud. So if noise is a challenge come off-peak dining times (and/or be sure there isn’t a special event/gathering going on). This hadn’t occurred (wine dinner) nor had it been that loud on previous visits."

"During our visit to the restaurant, another person who was not in line decided to cut in front of us while my wife was providing our name for our reservation. No one apologized for this. We were then seated at a small table as if we were not there for a full meal. Our waiter only visited our table three times, including to give us our check. This was our 5th or 6th time here and it was the worst experience we have had. We will be taking our money elsewhere."

"My girlfriend and I are big fans of empanadas, so we couldn't wait to try this restaurant in our new neighborhood. We visited on a Friday night around 8 PM, and it really picks up after 9 PM. Unfortunately, we found the corn and baked empanadas to be a bit bland and overly oily. However, we really enjoyed the El Toro and Reggaeton wheat empanadas; while they were also oily, the seasoning was fantastic. The restaurant also offers a good selection of cocktails and frozen drinks."

"The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious and fresh. I would rate it four stars, but my experience with the service left much to be desired. I spent $62.50 on two dishes and requested extra white sauce, only to find out that I had already been charged for it. The additional $2 fee felt excessive to me. The server seemed inattentive, and when I politely asked for a glass, she merely shrugged her shoulders. It's disappointing to see that the level of customer service that was present when the restaurant first opened has declined. If improvements aren’t made, I might take my business elsewhere."

"Los Andes is proof that the more things change, the more they stay the same. Though this great restaurant has seen a lot of changes since it first opened (we reminisce about this literally every time we go) the exceptional service and food remains a constant. The owners are still very invested in the overall quality of the restaurant, and I think that is a part of the secret sauce. They personally seat you, check on you, and I even saw one of them bringing out food to a nearby table while we were there this weekend. This hands on approach helps to ensure the exceptional nature of this place... and it definitely keeps us coming back. Menu standouts are the pisco sour, empanadas, pollo los andes, and pollo napolitano."

"dined mid late Saturday afternoon and it was surprisingly quiet. my wife loves lobster roll and decided to try theirs. To her surprise and arrive warm, but she was delighted because it was a freshly cooked Florida lobster tail! Cooked to perfection and delicious. I ordered fish tacos and they were delicious not only was the fish moist and flavorful, but everything else in the taco shell was perfectly prepared and complementary to the dish. It was as good or better as any I've had anywhere, at any price. If we lived locally, they would know mw by face, because we would be regulars."

The potatoes and onions with it were great, tasty and cooked perfectly. A verygood dish. Empanada Pollo: the online menu only has beef but I saw another menu with chicken. I requested chicken and got it! The empanadas are large and full of meat and flavor. Some of the best I've had in the Bay Area. Comes with a nice cilantrosauce. Arroz Con Pollo Fricassee: absolutely delicious and a standout entree. The chicken is plentiful and falls off the bonetender. The rice was flavored and incredibly good. Tostones con Mojo: fried plantains that exude flavor and quite tasty. Theycome with a fresh and light dipping sauce. The consistency, however, was a bit too crunchy for my taste. Grilled Pan Cubano: Iwas curious about Cuban bread and it was fresh and large cuts that had indeed been grilled with a light spice rub. It isgood.
