"We were sat in the outer tent with a reservation on a Saturday at 6:15 pm. There was one server and a couple of runners assisting him for the whole space. There were several large parties sat, as well as 2 and 4 tops sat several seatings while we were there for over 2 hours for a long drawn out meal due to long delays for the server to return to take our order and check on us in between ordering courses. That wasn't necessarily the thing the made the experience unhappy it was just a bit much as it became noisier at the end of the evening and we were just sitting and waiting for the bill and then for it to be run. My main issue was cleanliness. The poor server and his crew outside were sooo slammed. Already sitting in the outside tent is a little on the dirtier side, but the exterior door of the tent was a pile of mess of chairs , silverware and cheese bowls etc. Our first order was spaghetti and meatballs for our child and one meatball had a hair in it. When the server finally returned to check on us, he was apologetic, and took it off our bill. But as I said I can kind of see overall the cleanliness plays into something like this occurring. Overall the food tasted good. I can RAVE about the pizza the crust is a perfect blend of soft and chewy. The pesto sauce they bring complimentary for the bread better on the pizza crust is delightful and the artichokes appetizer, if you are fan of this veggie, was quite delicious. I wish they had more specialty non alcoholic beverage options and that they didn't automatically bring water with ice. Overall we would definitely visit again for the pizza and/or order it for take out."

"My guest arrive before I did, and informed me there was no host to greet them. It was shortly before 4 PM and two people were working the floor, the host that doubles as a server and the bartender, that doubles as a server as well. The place is small but really nice. We were seated at a table relatively close to the door, I wish they would’ve closed it because the draft was very cold and I couldn’t enjoy myself as much as much as I would liked due to being uncomfortable. I am anemic. The drinks are fantastic. I had a glass of the red sangria, and my friend had the local 92 refresher which has lavender in it. The food is very good as well; started with the falafel that we were tempted to ordered a second round of. Due to when we were seated the host had informed my dust we were still able to order off of the brunch menu, which was great to hear. They ordered the French toast and I got the lobster ravioli both of which were fantastic as well. My plate did get taken away prematurely while I was in the bathroom, and was rather disappointed to not finish my portions (my guest was under the impression that I was completely done so no blame to the restaurant at all for this) For everything we’ve got it was a little under $80 for the bill before tip which I feel is relatively reasonable. Would definitely go again, this time would hope to be placed a little further in the back if it’s during the winter just so I don’t feel the draft from the door."

"Okay, it's rare that I give a restaurant a five star review, especially when on a first visit. I'm going to go ahead with this, with caveats. The restaurant is well-situated, located at the back of a pleasant atrium, inside a strip mall. There's plenty ofparking, and having the restaurant inside the atrium and not just an outdoor store front gives it added security, betterenvironment control and more of an upscale feel. The inside of the restaurant is comfortable, clean and minimalist, with alarge window into the kitchen area affording customers the opportunity to see the entire prep area of the kitchen. I really likeit when a restaurateur is so confident in his/her kitchen staff that s/he is willing to show everyone exactly how the kitchen isoperating, at all times. Very cool The person who took my order was welcoming and quite helpful to me as a first-timevisitor with no clue what to order. I was pleasantly surprised that a full lunch (takeout) for two, with tip, was less than$20.00... even though there were other customers, from order to exit was less than 15 minutes. I've just completed eating mychicken salad sandwich, which was delicious! The salmon salad I ordered for my colleague looked and smelled wonderful and wasincredibly ample for a meal that cost less than $8.00! Add to the above how well-prepared the restaurant is to address thecurrent pandemic, and I am obliged to proffer a five star review. Let's see how Gumbo's Deli stands up to a second visit. Ican't wait!"
