"Not bowled over by this place, everything is Okay but nothing is lip-smacking good where your savoring flavors that have you wanting to come back time and time again for more. Deep fried sauerkraut balls 2 for $8.99) two golf ball sized said to be filled with cheese and sausage...I guess ? served with mild horseradish sauce are pretty good. Bavarian pretzel doughy, chewy comes with sweet mustard which is a nice condiment also asked for some beer cheese dipping sauce, was charged $2.99 for a small ladle full. Nothing to rave about. Entrees of bratwürst with red cabbage and German style warm) potato salad, Brats kinda meh, sorta like a oversized breakfast sausage, potato salad was good, favorite item on the plate. Goulash as advertised, nice portion of stew over plain tasteless spatzel noodles perfectly fine dish but boring after the 3rd forkful. Also tried a side of potato pancakes 2 for $3.99) worst thing we ate, small greasy disks of shredded potato saturated in frying oil served with Apple sauce. Washed it all down with cheap tasting dry Reisling wine $8.25 a glass) which was an affront to the pallet. That knocked a star off the rating right there. Service was pleasant, they settle your check right at the table. For a Saturday night prime time, in season, many tables not turned over. Didn't enjoy it enough to say I'd go back. $90 for 2 w/tip)"

"The floors had straw wrappers and dirt in piles under the tables. My coffee cup had pieces of something besides coffee on the side. The bottom of the cup had coffee grounds in it. The waitress (tall blonde in her 60s) had 0 social skills, and checked on us once. The side salad apparently adds three dollars to a sandwich meal when replacing fries. The salad looks like old bagged salad from the grocery store when you forget about it for a few days. Disgusting, especially since it was several dollars more. The total was 50 dollars. They ask if I want to put a tip on the card, putting the customer on the spot to give a higher tip. It is the cheapest quality food you can get for not the cheapest price. Prime in port Charlotte gives free bread and delicious salad with their meals, and the meals are big enough to eat half and bring another half home. We fed 3 people at prime twice for 80 dollars last week, while this horrible subpar food was 50 to feed 3 people once. Why would anyone spend that money? I cannot in good conscience patronize this establishment again due to mediocre service, horrible low grade food, and unclean conditions. Also, you’re charging more to use a card. Your establishment benefits from customers being able to use cards. More people are able to use money at your establishment more easily. This is sneaky way for your business to skim more money out of people becuase you know most people use cards now. Sad."
