Very enjoyable dining in Taos Ski Valley in mid summer. Many places were closed and we were pleased they were serving. There were few people in the village at the time. Temps were cool and felt good. One of the best food options at the Taos Ski Valley base. We had great service and delicious food. The place had the perfect ski-lodge feel, without seeming contrived. Overall, a great experience. Loved style and view in the dining area. Our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and also gave great recommendations for activities for our next couple of days around Taos. Menu had great variety- we went a bit overboard and ordered almost everything on it! Meatballs and fried moz were highlights for me on food. Super disappointed. The portions are so surprisingly small. I’m talking hardly enough pasta to cover a bowl The service was awful. We had a male bartender who would stare off as we were talking to him and not hear anything we were saying. Got half the cork in our bottle of wine. Watched the bartender smell and lick his fingers while making a drink. I’m sorry it’s comical how bad it is On a positive note- the hostess was super sweet and very personable. Overall awful experience.

Food was overall good but very small portions at a high price point. I'm talking half a meal for 15 dollars. Service was very bad on two days (slow and unhelpful when we had spoiled milk on the granola), but quite good on the third, a very friendly young man with some kind of an intellectual/developmental disability who was by far the best of our three waiters. The atmosphere is nice, spacious, not too noisy, but I found it too cold during breakfast because they had the windows open. I had higher hopes for this place. I ordered the short rib which comes with rosemary potatoes. The meat was cooked perfectly, but bland and MAYBE 4oz of meat. The rosemary potatoes were really just steak fries and did not come with a vegetable. For the price the value was definitely disappointing. The drink was okay; the gelato was nothing to write home about. It was listed on the menu as 4$ and when I was charged 10 I mentioned to my waitress who told management and they removed the cost. The reason this is 3 stars instead of two is for customer service so thank you to management and the wait staff. As someone that has worked in food service at a ski resort I understand prices and difficult... Ver carta
