"Had a lovely experience enjoying an early dinner at Buoy One. Our server, Clare, was really considerate in seating us outside out of the sun's glare. After a quick review of the specials menu...we settled on a 1/2 pitcher of Blueberry Margaritas another of Peach Sangria. Both arrived with 7-8 minutes or so were made fresh. They were both refreshing not too sweet (my concern always) at all! We ordered the lobster bake (whole steamed 1 1/4lb lobster, shrimp, clams mussels) and the Cod Shrimp burger. We were served within 20 minutes by Clare. The lobster was slightly overdone but delicious nonetheless, the accompanying shellfish were very tasty too. We both substituted our potatoes for freshly made onion rings which turned out to be a great choice! We'll be returning highly recommend you visit if you're in the neighborhood."

Both food and service was great. A hidden little gem in east end. Definitely will be back soon.

10/4/23 Getting ready to head out of town we decided to have our favorite Thai cod at Buoy One. Tonya met us at the door and knew exactly what we wanted to eat. The fish is always fresh and the Thai glaze is terrific. Thank you Tonya and thank you Buoy One! Ver carta

Good menu service. Ordered the Lobster Roll which was chopped up in tiny pieces and couldn't even taste the lobster...it should be big chunks like everywhere else I've had it. Very disappointed . Wouldn't order it again... Otherwise, the pepper fries coleslaw were excellent...

We wanted to have fresh oysters, found this place by great reviews. This place is fish market/restaurant. Only one server with more than 10 tables, needs to be patient. 7 of us order 3 dozens of Oysters and other stuffs (steamed clams, linguine, stuffed clams etc). Very fresh oysters but lack of flavor with other kitchen foods.

Had another nice meal at the Buoy while out visiting family in the burbs. Sat on the outside patio on a perfect summer weekend. Cooler weather with lower humidity was terrific to enjoy a cold local brew and cheat meal of fried fish goodness. As always, very nice service and worth the cost. Snowflake ice cream across the street is the best for a cold creamy dessert! Ver carta

Best fried fish platters around. This is a hidden gem... An actual fish market that has an indoor/outdoor seating area. I've been here twice and the fried fish basket is amazing... Spaghetti and clam sauce was very good as was the shrimp with Thai sauce/glaze... Yum. Wine and beer selection was decent and staff was friendly. The only disappointment was the whole lobster which I found a little tough. With that said I'd still go back to this place in a second.

Let's be honest, the exterior of this place may not be much to look at in the early spring and end of winter, but once inside, it's actually quite charming. It's a traditional lobster and crab house, but I was disappointed to find they were out of lobster and crab. I ended up ordering the fried basket, which was good. I imagine that the experience will be amazing in the summer when the seafood is in season. The service was excellent, with a very friendly waitress who explained the menu and seasonal availability. The prices were very reasonable, with two people spending less than $60, including tip, for a Saturday night dinner date. There is plenty of parking and lots of outdoor seating for t...

"Loved the sandwiches we got. The combination of food to please the foodie, fast-food style order at the kitchen and host/food-runner/bus-boy minimalist staffing made it a unique and enjoyable experience. Feels more like ordering at a bar than a fast food joint and they have a nice selection of beers. Grab a beer, order your food and a server will find you at your table when you're ready. You don't feel rushed by a server and when you go to leave you've already paid so just go (turn your nose at fast food places all you like, it's a proven format). I believe the tips are shared among the staff which makes you feel like you're bolstering the kitchen staff that made two of the best sandwiches we ever had. We're hoping to go back the last Sunday of this month and we live out in Patchogue. We ordered the duck wings, roast beef sandwich and double smash burger and nothing disappointed! The wings were tender and a bit alien in texture compared to chicken and the tamarind/passion fruit glaze with the cucumber raita dipping sauce was unique and delicious. The roast beef was perfectly balanced with the ratio of butter toasted bread, greens and condiments and the smash burger was a perfect burger with the same great balance of aged cheddar, bacon, pickles, house sauce, shredded lettuce, steamed white onion and brioche. I look forward to trying the pork hoagie, the curry and chicken thigh sandwiches in future visits."
