"However, after placing our order, we waited over half an hour for our food to arrive. It was frustrating to see other diners who sat down long after us being served and finishing their meals before we received anything. When our food finally came out, it was all served at once. The shrimp toast was underwhelming—rather than being a toast, it was just some shrimp fried together with minimal flavor. The cold noodle dish was sizeable and included four pork patties, but it was mostly bland unless you added everything available to it, which only improved it slightly. The lamb dish, which had been described to us as featuring tender pieces of lamb, was virtually inedible. What we received was mostly cartilage, and after struggling to chew through three pieces, I had to spit them out. When we brought this to our waitress's attention, about five minutes later, the chef—or rather, a guy at the counter—came over and insulted us, implying that we didn’t know how to chew and that the toughness of the lamb was our fault. What does that even mean, "chewy cut of lamb"? It just sounded like poor quality meat prepared poorly. They did take the dish back without charging us, but offered no alternatives and didn’t even ask if we wanted something else. The chef's attitude was rude and arrogant. The restaurant was crowded, and the music was excessively loud, featuring K-pop and J-pop that only added to the discomfort. After our frustrating experience, we decided to leave and grabbed some vegan ice cream at Sticky Sweets around the corner, which I highly recommend. This place used to be quite good, but the food has notably declined, and the attitude of the staff was even worse. It's disappointing for a restaurant that has been recognized for national awards in the past."

This is some of the best food I?ve eaten. The menu is creative and the food is delicious. The service is also very good as they are quick to prorate the food and I appreciate the pick up window. It is our favorite dinner spot in Portland. I was notsurprised to find out that the place has been nominated for a James Beard.

NYT '21 50 best and '20 James Beard, but you wouldn 't guess that by tasting the food. An American/Chinese/Thai fusion that refreshingly embraces less common asian ingredients and styles, and then proceeds to ruin it all with american sweetness, toomuch salt, sauce and oil; and high prices. Like orange chicken, it appeals to certain tastes, but authentic it is not.
