"we wanted to cōste with my man for our jubilee. highlight our server was great and knowledgeable. the food was good, my snatch was too salty, but the problem was resolved immediately. recommend the brittle sprout app and lobster carbonara as well as the wrench cake dessert. at the bottom was my first glass wee at the bar, the bottle was opened for a past and the wine tasted old. another day and it would have been a weinstock. Perhaps the bartenders can check the wee before they pour?! overall was the experience positiw!"

"That being said, Mark only added to an already fantastic experience. The food was exceptional and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take a picture of some of the best and freshest calamari we've ever had! The chef and kitchen staff clearly know their craft and execute it brilliantly. We had absolutely no complaints about the food. Additionally, there was live entertainment across from the bar during dinner. Both nights, the artists were talented and friendly, and the music was played at a good volume, allowing us to enjoy it while still having easy conversation. I highly recommend this restaurant whenever you're in the Ft. Myers area, and I hope to return soon to see Mark again!"

"Wonderful place for a nice and pleasant dinner. We chose the restaurant for a family dinner. And despite the rainy weather we had a beautiful evening. Sitting on the window with a wonderful view of the bay and enjoying great food. We had the Chimichanga and the Coconut Shrimp and the kids had fish fingers and were totally happy. Beyond the food the place is really great and we had a very good service. The only difficult thing was the parking around. But this cannot change the great experience we had at the Matanzas."

"Absolutely pretty little diner (not too little, seats quite a few but has a cozy small town feel). We ate breakfast on a number of occasions here while vacationing in the area. The food is fresh and delicious. The service is extraordinarily prompt and we’ve never had to wait to be seated. Try the eggs benedict, served with a lemony fresh hollandaise, soft toasted English muffin with thick sliced country ham. The hash browns were additionally delightful and the whole meal served with a fluffy pancake left us wanting to come back later to see what the lunch menu had in store. My husband had the breakfast special with eggs, biscuits and gravy. He chose the thick sliced country ham to accompany. Everything was incredibly amazing. Morning drink specials are also definitely not to be missed. Make this splendid country diner a must visit on your trip list when in the area."

"Overall very disappointing. For an expensive restaurant I definitely expected something better. First thing we faced is the restaurant doesn’t provide parking. There is a parking lot in front of the building but it doesn’t belong to them…?When we walk in, we are faced with a barrage of swag to buy before or even seated. They are trying to get us to buy hats and bottle cozies and more. Not very classy.When we ordered drinks I found out they don’t have HOT WATER…? When I requested a cup of hot water with lemon, she said they don’t have any.They don’t give you any dinner rolls. You have to buy their “bay bread” for $12 and it’s covered with sauce and cheese like cheap pizza. They make it sound good with their fancy words on the menu, but don’t fall for it like we did. You could buy an entire delicious pizza for the cost of this pizza inspired “appetizer” we had to order because they don’t put out dinner rolls that we typically like to enjoy with our drinks while waiting for our appetizers.Their strange combination of scallops and pierogies did not go well at all so beware of that.Their “gourmet grouper” was no better than other restaurants’ grouper dishes in the area.The server was flighty and unhelpful. She essentially did nothing but take our order as everything else was served by others from the kitchen. She could have been standing behind a counter at a fast food chain for all she did.With so many other waterfront dining experiences to choose from, I would not recommend this to any of my friends nor ever go here again.Parking: Restaurant could at least provide in the attached lot free of charge, but they don’t"
