I really love this place! The one in Tannery Square has great staff and a wonderful atmosphere. After dining and placing takeout orders at the other location near Freedom Park, I can honestly say it’s faster for me to drive across town to Tannery Square than to wait for service at the one closer to my home. I called to place a takeout order, but after waiting on hold for quite a while, I decided to go in and order in person. When I arrived, I noticed three employees sitting at a table, and none of them offered to help me. There was one guy who seemed to be doing all the work, and I suspect he was the same person who had left me on hold. Now it all makes sense. While this location has fantastic food, the service is only average at best. If you're looking for excellent service and great food, I recommend the one in Tannery Square instead.

You won’t find better service or more authentic food than at Habaneros. You can take home a pint of Leonard's Salsa along with your favorite tortilla chips for about $5.00. It's one of Morganton's best #StellarDeals for Mexican cuisine. They offer a great selection of vegetarian options, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, ready to assist you. The restaurant has a spacious parking lot with plenty of free parking available. It’s family-owned with a welcoming atmosphere that's friendly for kids. Sometimes you can even catch European #Football on TV. Don't miss out on their amazing hand-crafted margaritas and salsas. The place is also fully wheelchair accessible.
