"I absolutely adored this small restaurant! I couldn't resist trying as many desserts as possible. I ordered the apple cake cheesecake, snickerdoodle cream, lime wench cake, pots de cream, and orange truffle cheesecake. Wow! Everything was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend stopping by. All the desserts in the display case looked fantastic. I can't praise this place enough. The owners are also very friendly and down to earth. Thank you!"

"The service was a bit slow, but the appetizers we ordered—artichoke dip and mussels—were absolutely delicious, as was the snickerdoodle cheesecake we had for dessert. Those dishes definitely deserve 5 stars! Unfortunately, both of our main courses fell short. I tried the crab cakes, which came with steamed vegetables and red potatoes. The crab cakes were just okay; I wasn't fond of the way they were fried, although the crab itself was good. The sides included two small uncut potatoes and a small yet decent portion of steamed vegetables, but both the potatoes and the vegetables had no flavor at all. My husband chose the chicken Parmesan. He said the pasta was good, but the chicken was really dry, so much so that he couldn't finish it, which is unusual for him. Our waitress was friendly, but she had a tendency to speak very loudly, which became a bit annoying. The location was charming, and the atmosphere was nice, but I’m not sure if we would return."

"2020: Our Family goes there for breakfast and dinner to my surprise all meat is fresh hamburger chicken everything else they have angus beef and the Bomb Burger was awesome. 2021: Went here for dinner, Burger was horrible, tasted like frozen Walmart burger. Ended up ordering mozzarella sticks to fill me up which were ok, and it was 5 of us that ate so this is spread from all of us making it 3 5 instead of 2 or 1 5 Hope it is better next year.... 2023 Revision: We only went once for dinner, I personally ordered the chicken alfredo, the chicken was disgusting, I 'm not sure if it was old, frozen, sat out, but it was not edible to say the least, on the other hand however, the noodles and sauce was excellent, they told me before I ordered that the sauce was homemade and I did not believe it, after eating it however I would believe it is homemade, this coming from someone who always eats homemade and rarely eats out. The rest of the family 's meals were excellent. A certain improvement from 2021, however, not enough to raise from three stars from prior two visits, hopefully 2024 is better for them. I will however note, they are a known breakfast spot, and that has always been their thing I would say they are the best in the town of Hatteras, though not the best on the island."

"We ordered a low-country boil for THIRTY people, and I was a bit concerned about picking up that much seafood, fearing it might overcook during transport. However, I can confidently say that everything was absolutely delicious! Each item was served piping hot, perfectly cooked, and bursting with wonderful flavor. The spice level was just right—enough to add flavor without being too spicy for those who prefer milder tastes. We were also given plenty of extra seasoning on the side for those who enjoy more heat. Vicky was incredibly gracious and helpful in guiding me through all my options. Although we had a large party, this place is well-equipped to cater to smaller groups as well. Harbor House has definitely earned a spot on our list of must-visit places every time we're in Hatteras. From the exceptional service to the outstanding seafood, this place is truly top-notch!"
