"I've visited this restaurant several times, and I believe it has improved since it first opened a few years ago. My most recent visit was with my family, who were eager to try an upscale version of Chinese cuisine. The Peking Duck is available for lunch, while the Flaming Duck, which requires a reservation for a specific time slot, is served in the evening. We thoroughly enjoyed the duck, especially with the incredibly thin pancakes. The ribs, squid, and asparagus were also excellent. However, the real disappointment was the lobster. Priced at over $80, it was a tiny creature that couldn’t have weighed more than a pound. I really can’t understand how they justify offering such a small dish at that price! I would definitely recommend avoiding that dish. Other than that, this restaurant is quite nice; lunch is peaceful and a good family-friendly option."

The whole roasted duck wasn't as crispy or well-prepared as the half duck.

This was our second visit to Hutong. I preordered the Flaming Duck. It was so delicious! All of the food was well prepared. I can't wait to come back again!

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the food is decent, but the service was terrible. It felt as though our party was unwelcome. The staff were rude and dismissive. It's a place I wouldn't choose to visit again. Ver carta

We popped in for the happy hour and it was amazing! We got the dim sum platter, scallops prawn garlic wontons, Sanchen spiced chicken, and the roasted spicy cod bao. Also got the comfortably numb for the drink (spicy and sweet drink). Very generous portions for happy hour. Everything blew our minds. We will definitely be back.

I have been to Hutong many times and I absolutely love it for many reasons. The ambiance is classy and cozy. The staff is always friendly. Their dim sum is beautifully made and presented as well. Some of my favorites are the wagyu beef millefeuille and scallop shumai. Also definitely try the Beijing Duck. That’s my absolute favorite too.

3 stars for the price the place is nice but really expensive even for New York standards in our opinion. We didn’t think the flaming duck $170)was worth it, regular duck would probably suffice. We were especially unimpressed by the way the Peking duck was sliced up. The crispy pork dumplings were in all honesty pretty good! And had really delicious hot sauce. Ver carta

The food is consistently excellent, and the service is usually very good. However, this time our server informed us that we would need to leave because someone else was waiting for our table. This felt rude, particularly since we were dining with older friends, and there were many available tables even after we left. Such an approach to managing the flow of customers is unacceptable. We visit this restaurant fairly regularly, and this was the first time we've experienced this kind of treatment.

The location is fantastic, right across the street from Bloomberg in upper Midtown East. The place has good dining utensils, great ambience, comfortable lounge seatings as well as restaurant seatings. The food is mediocre as of the price. The half peking duck we ordered was served half-cold. The serving plate was exceptionally cold. The peking duck has crispy skin which is awesome but slightly too oily. The pancake served was exceptionally cold as well, which was a major problem for peking duck rolls. Only the rice was served warm, the other warm dishes were all pretty cold when they are served which leads to less optimal tastes. May check back for a casual business occasion, but not with fr...

"We went to Bread N Wine on a early Saturday afternoon for brunch. We were greeted and seated by the servers who were attentive. The food was okay the bread was really soft and fresh. My partner got the French Lentil Soup, Spinach and Tomato Egg Bake andI got the French onion soup, egg omelette with spicy tomato avocado and onions. I wasn 't happy with my omelette because thespicy just meant it was covered in hot sauce within. For beverages, we got chai lattes (we later found out it wasn 't tea basedbut rather coffee) and we had the option of oat milk, almond milk or regular milk. In terms of our overall experience we feltby the end too many things were steering the experience south; the worst was when we were accused of using counterfeit money topay for the tip. There was no special marker used to prove that the money was counterfeit or technology to back up this claim. That experience alone left a bad taste in our mouth as we left embarrassed by that claim, kind of shook from that, we stilladded the tip to our credit card 18%. As we walked out and talked about how weird that was, the owner of the business nextdoor overheard us and asked to see the $20 bill he showed us that our money was real and validated what we knew, that themoney wasn 't counterfeit. When we went back into Bread N Wine to discuss this there was no apology, just well, it felt thatway , shrug. It left a terrible feeling. We would not go back after that, this is not how you treat customers from start tofinish, hence the 2 star review."
