Hidden Gem. This place is truly a hidden gem in Pittsburgh. I call it that because 9 out of 10 people that I ask about it have never heard of it. The setting is spectacular, the food is excellent. I can't wait to go back and try a picnic basket or tea.

Fantastic special occasion Meal! My husband and I tried Hyeholde for the first time this weekend and had a wonderfully romantic and delicious meal. This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the Pittsburgh region and has the best ambience. We sat in an alcove upstairs and saw the fireplace and the main dining room. With separate coveted areas throughout the house it helps to feel the room intimate and cozy. We had a delicious meal carpaccio, steak, lobster all perfectly prepared! We will definitely return to Hyeholde!

Fantastic .... My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here the weekend following Valentine's day. My Filet was perfectly cooked and so tender I didn't need a steak knife. My wife enjoyed a lobster and pasta dish with a creamy fennel sauce that was perfectly spiced. The service was friendly and helpful, particularly with my beer selection as I am extremely finicky in that department. The charming decor and atmosphere are reminiscent of a medieval French country village or Lord's great room. Hyeholde is a great place for a special occasion meal. Ver carta

For our meals, we both chose the roasted wild mushroom salad and the prime fillet, which were excellent, complemented perfectly by Boursin potatoes and French green beans. For dessert, I opted for the crème brûlée, while my husband went with the chocolate cake layered with crispy peanuts and caramel sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed my dessert; however, my husband wasn't as impressed with his, describing it more as a stacked cake than a traditional cake, and it turned out to be chocolate sauce rather than caramel. Aside from that minor hiccup, everything was perfect, and we will definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone celebrating a special occasion.

We had a wonderful dinner last night with three of us at the table. We were seated at the best spot in the restaurant, right in front of the fireplace, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. My daughter and I ordered the filet, which was incredibly tender and delicious, paired perfectly with the demi-glace. My husband had the trout, and he really enjoyed the way it was prepared. The desserts were unique and far from the typical options you find elsewhere. They have a talented female pastry chef, and the desserts were simply outstanding. While waiting for our party, we were taken to a delightful terrace with a fireplace for drinks.
