"This restaurant really knows how to do things right. The coconut shrimp appetizer was fantastic. As mentioned in previous reviews, Dean, the owner, makes regular trips to New Orleans to source fresh Gulf shrimp throughout the year, and you can definitely taste that quality in the dishes. Treat yourself to the maux choux as a side; it’s absolutely delicious, and don’t miss out on the grilled pecan pie for dessert. This was my first experience at LOTO, and although we had breakfast at Stewart's and another dinner at Baxter's, I didn't feel compelled to write a review for those places. However, this spot truly stands out. I was initially a bit skeptical, but Dean and his team are genuinely dedicated to bringing authentic Cajun cuisine to the area. They even stock Abita Rootbeer, which adds to the authenticity!"

"What a fantastic find! This restaurant offers stunning views and a wonderful atmosphere—you'd never guess you're in a strip mall. It's a charming spot that feels both private and casual, making it perfect for families. The food is exceptional, featuring delicious dishes like escargot, mussels, and ahi tuna. Everything is prepared with care. The house-made dressings are fantastic, and the salads, seafood, pasta, and other offerings are equally impressive. They even have a children's menu! The waitstaff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better. The outdoor veranda provides a magnificent view of the lake, and the bar area with TVs is a great touch. I can’t believe we hadn’t discovered this gem before!"

"The Sunrise Cantina so many of us have loved, for so many years, unfortunately, is gone. It has been replaced with the same second rate, so called Mexican food that is being served at way to many, almost identical, restaurants that have been opened here at the lake and surrounding areas in the last few years. We will miss our favorite Mexican restaurant."
