Walked in as the Kitchen was closing owners told me not to worry and sit down anyways. Great food, outstanding service highly recommend.

Everything is house made, which makes a huge difference in the quality of the dishes. It's also consistently good; I've never been disappointed. The seafood baked dishes are fantastic!

Quiet restaurant in the heart of Bath. Great service. I had the Fish Chips; amazing! Especially the fish. My wife ordered Haddock with coleslaw. The slaw was very good, the Haddock lacked flavor... could've used a bit more seasoning. Would definitelyreturn. Ver carta

The waitress was doing her best, but she had to ask the dishwasher to bring out our food due to being short-staffed. The food was decent, but the fries were served lukewarm. Prices have increased, which made the experience less enjoyable. Overall, it wasn't a great visit.

Not crowded. Waitress for some reason was not as attentive to our table as others. A table arriving after us received bread but we had to ask for ours. I would have ordered another Cosmo (which was very good) had she come to check on us. Otherwise, fish in sandwich was incredibly fresh, key lime pie was excellent.

We had a wonderful dinner for Mother's Day. The warm and friendly server made our experience really pleasant. The main courses were well-prepared and served hot. However, the baked potatoes were disappointing; they were old, barely warm, and lacked their usual fluffiness. It's a shame because I really enjoy a hot Maine baked potato. We went to JR Maxwells on Friday night about 7:30. Our server, Michelle, was double sat with us, but she was phenomenal. She was super knowledgeable about the menu, attentive to everything we needed, and even remembered our drink orders exactly when we ordered a second round. Michelle even saved us one of the last desert specials for us. Perfect service 10/10. The food was excellent. We had the steak au poivre and the veal picata. The steak was cooked perfect and the veal was fresh.

J.R. Maxwell Co. : ?Famous French onion soup.? I have been going to restaurants and ordering French onion soup whenever I could, but never rated them online. The ?famous? French onion soup is one of the best I have ever had. A nice amount of sweetsoft onions that you got with every scoop. The cheese was a perfect blend of cheese, stringy but not to stringy to the pointwhere it all comes of, and soft soaked bread at the bottom. All together, the flavors blended together marvelously. A Frenchonion soup worthy of fame.

My wife ordered the fried seafood platter, and given that we live near the ocean, we often order fried seafood. Unfortunately, this dish fell short. Having both worked in restaurants, we recognized that the frying oil had likely been overused. While the seafood itself was not poorly cooked, the excessive fry left it dark brown and gave it an unappetizing taste. Lastly, an unfortunate incident occurred when my father-in-law had his salad appetizer taken away mid-bite as the staff was clearing dishes to serve the entrees. They did apologize once they realized the mistake and retrieved the salad from the kitchen, but they didn’t offer to replace it or make amends in any way. As I mentioned, I... Ver carta
