"I always look forward to stopping at Jimmy's whenever I’m in Markham, IL, for a quick meal. They have a wide variety of fast food options, including gyros, Italian beef, hot dogs, Philly sandwiches (both steak and chicken), tacos, and burgers. You can even try their combos, like the Godfather—a cheeseburger topped with Italian beef and giardiniera peppers—or the gyro cheeseburger, served with onions, tzatziki sauce, and tomatoes. They offer a daily special that includes freshly made fries cut to order and a drink. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Philly, which I chose to have on pita bread instead of the Italian roll; it was flavorful and satisfying. Although everything is made to order, resulting in a short wait for your food, I find it’s definitely worth it for those crispy, hot, fresh-cut fries. Worth a stop. This burger reminded me of the burgers of my youth when you could get a great tasting homemade burger at a greasy diner. Not too big not to small. I liked the home style cut fries that are crispy not greasy. My husband loved his philly sandwich. Meat was tender but thick. Not the shaved meat you can get at some places.

I called the restaurant two days in a row, once at 9 PM and once at 7 PM, to place a phone order. Both times, I was told they were only accepting walk-in orders. During the second call, the person on the line claimed that I had an attitude when I responded to a question he asked. This kind of service hurts local businesses. They need to improve.

The burgers here are fantastic! They remind me of the classic burgers from my childhood when my mother used to take my sister and me to Dog-n-Suds in the late 60s and early 70s. They have that authentic sirloin flavor that brings back great memories. The fries are also delicious, and I personally think there’s a generous portion. Whenever I want a great burger, this is the place my friends and I choose to go!
