"the reception is hot; The joy of the barley of sandblast is communicative: we look forward to sharing what his companion, and starred chief, florist favario, has concocted us. Indeed, no choice, no card: the menu is made according to the seasonal products, and sometimes modified each week at the option of arrivals. this strategy is explained by the eco-citizen policy, including zero packaging and zero waste, and recycling. Creativity is a passion that has never ceased to surprise us from the beginning to the end of the meal: the dishes made of olive wood made by a local cabinetmaker, the modern and warm decoration of the chalet, the presentation not to the plate but to share, the use of magnificent snails, white asparagus, bear garlic, celery. the gourmet flavors of a cuisine with accents of the terroir....The people of the service intervene in a benevolent and effective way. I can't. the accompaniment meets and the wines succeed perfectly. blind discovery is a beautiful playful experience that leads to the discovery of excellent producers and wine. We came out of this beautiful establishment, after the pass from the chef to the table, full of emotions, as to a show. Bravo to the whole Montmin inn team!"

This restaurant is worth the drive. Food is prepared and presented with casual elegance. Everything is local, farm to table, highest quality. The restaurant itself is modest, but the surroundings are true alpine glory and the meals coming out of this small, unassuming venue are unforgettable. Not to be missed!

One of the Best blind tasting menus I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience. A true Michelin experience. A very welcoming staff. The food was exceptional. Original menu. Service was out of this world. Friendly and very knowledgeable when it came to explaining each dish as well as each glass of wine paired with that particular dish. Location is breathtaking with stunning views for the summer on the terrace. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area in and and around Lake Annecy. This restaurant and experience is second to none in the region.

Bravo ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €100+

We went to dinner in this establishment on the recommendations of friends: everything sounds right: starting with the kindness of the sandrine, owner and wife of the chef, whose gentle voice has only equal his goodness and professionalism. chef cuisine, favario florien, humble, excellent, just, lying and mature! What a pleasure! the kindness and discretion of the two people working in the room, alongside the mistress of the house; the idea of the unique menu that sounds just according to the season! break, to my taste, u of the best restaurants I know: just a desire, go back. thank you for everything, philippe carteron Ver carta

We absolutely loved our visit! The food was incredibly tasty, delicate and beautifully executed. The concept of farm to table was greatly appreciated and there was innovative use of simple ingredients together to create an explosion of flavours. We loved it!! We had dined the previous night at a two Michelin starred restaurant and found Auberge de Montmin to actually be much nicer. If you’re looking for stuffy, stuck up and incredibly attentive to service, this might not be for you. HOWEVER, if you’re going for a more casual, homely and ultimately splendid flavours I cannot recommend this enough. The two ladies who took care of us were incredibly pleasant and friendly and the food just speak...

"it is quite possible that we were the only foreigners in this cafe restaurant, in this part of doussard, which is no big spot anyway. all French customers were mainly local workers. they have no conventional menu as such. they have a all-customer three course set menu were each body has given in the ground what they have given at any time low price for 14.50 euro £ 9.60 each at the exchange rate from in the last juni 2016 of 1.51 euro to a £1) that, or at least on the day we were there. we had a helpful cold buffet, a 5oz quality rump steak in pfeffersoße good quality chips, a choice of 5 homemade desserts all served with ice, a half liter red wine a cup real coffee floor, not bad for less that a tense one piece. I can only see that they get so much in any restaurant in Britain. the chef who takes her order has numb English enough to come by, it would help if they were French. they have both tables outside. about annecy there is a series of tourist restaurants serving mass tourism, this restaurant is not in this mainstream, which is a refreshing change. I will vote my recommendation. special note. when they eat from the beaten stretch, they discover the true taste wherever they happen to be in the world that are a 100 times more authentic than any restaurant in the tourist style. eg we have real street food in deepest hanoi, saigon, calcutta, deepest kamboja never had a trick bauch as its all vegetarians. authentic or what? hey his short life, live it."

"We visited this restaurant on the last night of our time in France. We had met up with family from Scotland and were staying at Camping Le Lac Bleu. We didn't eat out much but decided to go out for a final night's celebration together. The evening started out great...we had reserved a table and it was lucky we had. It was packed- it was Bastille Day. The kids enjoyed the trampoline, the service was friendly (though not quick) and the kids' food arrived quickly and looked delicious. The menu was very varied, ranging from a tagine, to a curry, burgers, etc. Most adults at our table had ordered one of the steaks on offer. Most ordered them 'medium', I ordered 'medium - well', explaining that I didn't like blood in my steak! Unfortunately, everyone's steak was VERY rare!! So rare that my father-in-law had a choking episode at our table as he hadn't been able to chew the steak. My mother-in-law's steak was the most red and inedible. She sent it back and the waitress was gracious about it. It came back a few minutes later but didn't look any different. She asked for it to be replaced by a burger, which they obliged to do. No-one at our table ate much of the steak, even mine was way too fatty and chewy and came with a gross looking, oily lump of 'roasted veggies'. My brother-in-law did not enjoy his mussels, it was disappointing all round. My parents-in-law, who NEVER waste food, could not finish their meal. When we asked for the bill (only one waitress really spoke good English), we realised that they'd charged my mother-in-law for the steak, despite the fact that she had not eaten the steak, as on two occasions they'd brought out what she had not ordered. My brother-in-law and I queried the bill, and our waitress was extremely rude to us (in front of other patrons). She hollered, "In France, our meat is so good we don't need to cook it so it is like wood" and basically turned a simple query into a heated discussion. I can only imagine that we were not the only ones who had been complaining that night. We ended up paying the higher price but it definitely soured what should have been a great final night together. To top it all off, I found out that the toilets had no running water for washing your hands (gross on all levels!!!!) and my husband woke up vomiting in the middle of the night. A horrible, horrible experience. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! The restaurant within Le Lac Bleu campsite was fabulous in comparison and I would definitely recommend."
