"This restaurant offers an authentic and delicious Yemeni cuisine experience. We tried several dishes, both vegetarian and meat-based. The Lentil soup and Saltah were standouts among the vegetarian options, offering a depth of flavor that truly transported us to Yemen. However, the stars of the show were the Maraq soup, Lamb Haneeth, and Chicken Mandi. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with complex flavors and textures. Our feast concluded with a delightful Kunafe, followed by a traditional Arabic coffee – the perfect ending to this delicious exploration of Yemeni culinary traditions. The service was excellent, and the restaurant itself was clean and hygienic. While the prices may be slightly higher than usual, the quality of the food and the overall experience definitely justify it."

The best lamb I’ve ever had! We ordered Bormah, lamb Haneeth, and fries for the kids. The food was served really quickly. I highly recommend this place!

Saltah is absolutely amazing! It was perfectly seasoned, and I tried the veggie version, though you can add protein if you like. The Sambusa was unique compared to others I've had before... Ver carta

I had the lamb and chicken mandi, and while the shank was a bit on the smaller side, it was packed with flavor. Bait Al Mandi in Um Al Hamam, Riyadh, KSA remains my gold standard for mandi. I'm still on the lookout for the perfect one!

The fasoulia and bread were delightful. The kibdah was absolutely mouthwatering and cooked to perfection; I've never had kibdah quite like this before. The service and atmosphere were excellent. And I must mention, their milk tea is smooth, creamy, and incredibly soothing. Ver carta

We came for lunch and had an amazing meal. My Yemeni friend suggested we order: Shafout, Zahawiq with cheese, Chicken mandi, Lamb haneeth, Qulabah, Susi and for dessert Bint al Sahn and Fattah. Everything was delicious, flavorful, and freshly made. I will definitely be back soon. And I noticed they offer catering too!

Placed a carry out order and showed up 5 minutes later. I was welcomed by a warm and inviting environment, and charming staff to boot. The place is set up really nice, feels homey and classy but comfortable and inviting. I was served a delicious complimentary tea while waiting for my order, it was a spiced milk tea, my guess is with clove and maybe star anise. Super unique and delicious, very much appreciated and enjoyed on the crisp morning I went in. The food was delicious and seasoned very well. Service, food and atmosphere all 10/10. Well done.

"Soricha is a hidden gem in Annandale with a calming ambiance. From the moment you step inside, you almost feel like you 're stepping into a cafe in Asia says my Japanese friend. The cafe 's lighting is warm and the seats are comfortable. It 's a great space to catch up with friends or catch up on personal work if you come alone. The menu is QR code style, and the staff brings you your food drinks. First off, let 's have a coffee chat about the bingsoo it 's GINORMOUS. Ever had a huge bowl of ramen at a Japanese restaurant? Yes. Your bingsoo will be THAT big. Come in a group of at least 3 5 people or else it 'll be too much for a couple to eat (unless if you and your partner are major sweettooths . The portions are generous, and each bite is a heavenly combination of fluffy Korean shaved ice and delicious toppings. We 've tried the black sesame and the injeolmi both are super nutty, not too sweet (best compliment from an Asian , and topped well with complimentary toppings cornflakes, almonds, and a scoop of red bean. You can add extra toppings if you 'd like for an extra charge. Beyond bingsoo, Soricha offers an impressive variety of teas, drinks, and desserts there 's something for everyone, ranging from typical Asian flavors (matcha, black milk tea to experimental (dandelion root, mugwort . Note that you may have to call in advance for a group larger than 5, as the space only offers two large tables. Whether you 're a tea aficionado, a bingsoo lover, or simply looking for a cozy spot to unwind by yourself or with friends, visiting Soricha is a must if you 're in the DMV. I highly recommended! Expect to spend about $10 $40, as drinks and food are on the higher end here."

"BLUF: the food is tasty, but it doesn't quite match it's menu description Four of us went on a Friday night. The wait staff was very friendly, but it seemed like they just couldn't wait to take a plate off your table. If you're not quite done with something you kind of have to lean over it to make sure they don't snap it up on the way by. I would recommend getting a reservation if you go on a weekend. The place was quite full and I was glad I made a reservation ahead of time. We didn't have any drinks or anything so here's a rundown of the food: Thai Beef Basil: it was actually relatively Bland, especially when you consider it had one of those little peppers next to it on the menu to indicate it was spicy. I ended up having to add a little wasabi from my Sushi to it to spice it up. The beef was well cooked and the gravy was very good. Teriyaki Vegetable: quite good, with pretty good fresh veggies thrown in Octopus sushi: very good. Wasn't rubbery like I often find, but it was a bit of a thin slice considering you're paying about 3.50 a piece for it Veggie gyoza: very good, with a nice crisp sear on it and veggies inside tasted fresh Herndon Roll: very good, with a nice balance of rice and fish Spicy Salmon and Yellowtail Roll: the role itself was pretty good, but again didn't live up to the spicy label put on it on the menu. If I were in the area I would go back, but I would definitely stick to the sushi."

"This place is wonderful! The food and service are amazing. The egg drop soup is easily the best I have ever tasted! Perfectly savory, moderately thickened, no added veggies with just the right amount of flavor. I wolfed it down too quickly to take a picture! The wonton soup is very delicious and mildly flavored. Perfect for me because I came in feeling quite nauseated. Because this was our first time, the waitress gave my husband and I some free wontons perfectly crunchy, with a pop of creamy filling and sweet sauce. My husband ordered moo shu pork. He was satisfied with the flavor, but said it was a bit dry without the added plum sauce. I ordered the broccoli dish with chicken and added veggies. The flavoring was mild and just right for an upset stomach. The veggies were perfectly cooked and flavorful. My only complaint is that the chicken was a bit fatty I’m quite picky about my meat, though. I’m grateful for the waitress here, who showed me such great compassion. It truly made my day. I came in a wheelchair and a neck brace. I have been through quite a bit recently with a major surgery. Our waitress did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable. She even held the door for us on the way out. Wheelchair accessibility: There was plenty of room for me to maneuver my wheelchair and the waitress was more than happy to make the adjustments I needed.
