This is truly one of the best spots on Lake Erie, featuring beautiful grounds, docks, and a lovely clubhouse. Don't miss their annual Shrimpfest at the end of July—it's a fantastic celebration!

I wouldn't consider keeping my boat anywhere else. I have made true friendship at MHYC and the membership is like family to me. Also if you are planning a wedding you really can't find a better place. Ver carta

We were social members for a few months and it was not a good fit and we quit. I find it unacceptable to be bullied by members or workers and then ignored when standing up for yourself. However if you are fine being put in your place as a woman, it's apretty club right on the water and the food is good.

This is a nice yacht club. I went here for a regatta and was satisfied with my experience. Thai yacht club has a pool and a basketball court, but it was flooded when I went here. The yacht club is very fancy, having a dining area with white table clothand Mediterranean architecture. This yacht club has lots of docks for boats and is located right by Lake Erie. I have been a member of the mhyc since the late 1950s, when my parents were members. Over the years, I have visited many yacht clubs and marinas, but mhyc stands out for its Spanish-style clubhouse, pool area, and friendly staff. The view of the sea is stunning, and the food, drinks, and docks are all excellent. However, during bad weather, it is important to navigate the narrow channel to the lake with extra caution. In severe conditions, it may be best to avoid entering the channel altogether, especially for those unfamiliar with it.

We felt embarrassed and treated as if we were unwelcome. It’s unfortunate, especially since we had a table for six and were ready to spend money. Instead, we left and won't be returning, and I will ensure my family hears about our experience. As a member of a reciprocal club, I can say that our guests from other clubs do not face such treatment. Again, the club itself is gorgeous, and the location is beautiful. However, a little courtesy and an effort to explain the rules instead of making us feel like intruders would have been much more appropriate.
