Meridian Restaurant Bar

I had higher expectations. The atmosphere felt more like a ski lodge or a beachfront restaurant in Southern California. For our anniversary, I was hoping for a more elegant setting. While the food and service were excellent, it wasn't quite what we anticipated.

It was great both times we ate in Meridian while in Pacific City large portions of excellent food. They had just opened up for in restaurant dining and we felt safe. Tables were spaced out, they had plexiglass barriers between tables, and the restaurant has a very high ceiling.

I loved everything about this restaurant! The food was delicious and the drinks were very well made. Everyone was so nice and attentive! The facilities and views of the sea are wonderful! I feel that they cater to the hotel guests, by seating the locals in less desirable areas. Though I reserved a special anniversary date days in advance,my husband and I were sat in the noisy bar area. The food was good but not superb for the top dollar you are charged. This was our second visit and if we ever return we won’t reserve ahead.

Way over priced for the quality of food. We ordered crab cakes, rib steak and risotto. The crab cakes $33) was the best thing we ate all night. The rib steak $65) was tender but the fat was not rendered. We ordered it medium came out medium well. The risotto $28) was soupy. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. We would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I had an amazing experience a Meridian Restaurant! Shelly (our server) was so attentive and made me feel very special as I celebrated both a birthday and a babymoon. They went above and beyond to make sure the table we had was romantic and special and that our drinks and food was timed perfectly to the flow of discussion at our table. The restaurant features a charming atmosphere with beautiful views, complemented by warm and attentive service. The local dishes are delightful, and the albacore tuna was exceptional. While the menu is somewhat limited, everything we tried, including breakfast, was very good. The staff and chef were more than willing to accommodate our modifications. The Haystack drink is simply delicious!

This dinner was truly meant to be. We would never have celebrated our anniversary here if someone hadn't canceled, and we are so glad they did! Melissa was a fantastic host, and our waitress Sam was exceptional. The crab cakes and oysters on the half shell were delicious and perfectly portioned, while the special pappardelle with Manila clams in garlic wine broth was rich and tender. The lamb chops served with grilled polenta, roasted heirloom tomatoes, and summer vegetable salsa verde were delightful, though slightly overcooked. I was very disappointed in my meal. There was a last minute change to the menu, fully understandable. However, when your menu states the meal comes with a mound of crab and they deliver a half a crab in the shell...no. They had added $10 to the meal for this crab replacement of the scallops and I didn't eat a bite of crab. I didn't go to pay $80 for a plate of food I have to get filthy to eat. They brought no extra napkins, no tiny fork, just cheap crackers and a bowl. On top of all that, the ONLY thing on the plate that was edible was the steak.
