"I 'll start by saying the food was delicious and the staff were extremely nice. It 's the best pizza my family has had in the area and the closest we 've had to NYC pizza. Order: We ordered the Bella Grey and the New Yorker. Flavor: The New Yorker was simple but delicious with bits of roasted garlic. I like garlic and would like more roasted garlic than the bits that were on there, but the flavor was still good. The bread also tastes like bread rather than cardboard that seems to be common in the area. The Bella Grey was good, but it came with Alfredo sauce that seemed a bit light on the parmesan. Toppings were a bit spread, but it seems like either a little more toppings or more parmesan would have fixed that. Crust: The dough in the center gave in when picked up and the dough closer to the edge of the crust was more solid. I would like more toppings, but I understand that the pizza wouldn 't hold together. For those that care about the toppings sliding off, you would need a thicker dough. With that said, the slice held together when folded which solves most issues with NYC style pizzas. I personally don 't care if the crust can hold everything, I will always prefer more toppings. Quality: There seems to be some care put into the dough in terms of how the dough was made and how it 's cooked. A stone oven is used and the result is a crust that tastes like bread. Staff: The staff were friendly over the phone and in store. Over the phone they were asked if we had ordered from them before, explained their restaurant, and mentioned their 'A ' health inspection rating. In store, they explained how they made the pizzas which is what sets them apart from the other pizzarias. The owner also mentioned that if we wanted to get our pizza extra crispy, we just needed to ask. The crispiness is made to order. Despite my concerns with flavor, everything else made the experience a good one. I rounded my score up to a five since I can 't give it a 4.7 and giving a rating of 4.0 wouldn 't be fair in this case. I will be ordering from here again."

"The staff was very nice and curteous. We chose outdoor seating as it was all they had available at the time as they were very busy. We arrived at 12:30 PM. After being outside for a few moments, the bees swarmed the area, and a very large spider fell from the roof onto our daughters coloring page. This all occurred in front of our waitress, and she did not hesitate to get us inside and get our orders started. We were seated at the next available table, and you could see true urgency, passion, and care to resolve our seating arrangement. We ordered the honey garlic bbq wings, which were truly delicious! The AG burger was off the top!! The portion sizes were perfect, and the taste is something that I will crave every week. I highly recommend this restaurant as I was truly satisfied with the staff and the food quality. This is one of my new favorite restaurants, which I traveled 1 hour away from to be able to write a review and try them out as they have had a lot of controversy surrounding the amazing food, staff, and atmosphere. I will surely make this trip again and can easily confirm the controversy! Thank you to all of the wonderful staff who I had the pleasure of meeting today. Your kindness will be remembered."

"The food was incredible, especially the fish dinner. The portion was generous, fries and onion rings were delicious. The food was enough to feed more than just myself. I couldn't stop eating because it was so good. I wish I could have finished it all, but at least I have leftovers. I highly recommend this place for the delicious food and friendly service. Definitely deserves five stars all the way."

"I keep forgetting the Cottage Restaurant! Its location is so good, (nestled in the middle of the village, yet out of sight) we forget how darn good the place is. I 've been there twice in the last week and both times the food and service was excellant! I love a good burger and fries and they were both fantastic.(and very affordable) The atmosphere is absolutly unique as there is no place like it. The brick and natural wood are very welcoming and comforting. Probably because of this, the acoustics are wonderful and lend themselves to being able to have a nice conversation. (Never too noisy) The owner, Michele is such a nice and down to earth person, you always feel welcome and at home. She is always there and on top of things whether she is cooking, serving, greeting or just visiting. It 's always a good sign when the owner is so invested. Finally, there is always parking available. I am sticking a post a note on my dash that says REMEMBER THE COTTAGE . I love it there and I am going to make it my go to . It 's close and it 's great!"

"Decided to return to this restaurant after a considerable amount of time for Baldwinsville Dining Week. We were seated promptly and that is where the mixed review begins. I'll begin with the food. Overall one of the best meals we have ever had. Both the New England Clam Chowder and the Chicken Orzo soups were wonderful and served perfectly hot. The shared breaded and fried calamari steak strips with marinara sauce was was just wonderful. My ricotta gnocchi and her chicken special were superb and the lemon marscipone desert was light and simply fantastic. Now for the bad news. The service was absolutely the worst we have ever experienced. It took forever to even be noticed and that was a portent of things to come. It was the same for every diner and table and you could actually feel the frustration and annoyance across the entire dining room. Even getting the check at the end of the meal took forever. What should have been a lovely culinary experience lasting an hour and a half at most turned into almost three hours of needless delays and mistakes and neglect that were so bad you literally didn't know whether to laugh or cry."
