"What a loyal local crowd! We stopped by while passing through town and found the line stretching out the door. Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is incredibly soft and warm, while the donuts are equally tender. The Boston cream filling was rich and tasted homemade. The shelves are neatly lined with freshly sliced loaves and rolls, and the pastry case is filled with beautiful cupcakes and a selection of other pastries that I imagine are also of good quality. Although the line moved a bit slowly, the coffee was just average, and the donut selection was limited, it's clear that they are well-established and know how to satisfy their customers. The place is charming, featuring a large dough trough table, an impressive vintage sign, and original photographs that add a nostalgic vibe. While the biblical quotes on the walls and signs aren’t my personal taste, they didn't detract from my enjoyment of the sandwich at all! As for parking, there’s plenty available, especially in the early morning."

"This has been on my TO GO list and it truly did NOT disappoint. We enjoyed the chicken quesadilla, birrias, and pastelillo beef and cheese) .. flavors are delicious .... the elote was pretty good too. Definitely will try it again, maybe tomorrow for taco tuesday...why not ? Lol???"

"Warning for God-fearing Muslims, They have a belly dancer come by and dance at all the tables every Saturday starting at 7:30pm. It was a rude surprise for my spouse and I while we were just trying to have a normal dinner. We were really caught off guard. The waitress didn’t say anything about it being belly dancer night while seating us, there were no signs on the door or wall, and there’s nothing mentioned on the menu that would indicate there was going to be a half naked dancer that day. Even if I wasn’t Muslim, I would think it’s obnoxious for a restaurant to do that. We were just trying to eat in peace."

"This restaurant has been a favorite of my partner since the eighties when it was merely a small Italian grocery store and deli, known for its hot and cold grinders. About twenty years ago, it transitioned into the popular restaurant it is today. Starting with her cucumber martini made with Hendricks Gin, I must say it was the best cucumber martini I've ever had—absolutely perfect in taste, balance, and coldness. (Patrons can also opt for Crop cucumber vodka.) The cocktail menu is impressive. The Cabernet Sauvignon we chose was smooth and paired beautifully with our meal. The Mozzarella Di Casa was particularly noteworthy, featuring a satisfying crunch from the bread and a creamy lemon butter wine sauce, presenting a refreshing twist on the traditional En Carozza version usually served with red sauce. The visual presentation, cut into triangles, was enticing even before the first bite. The soup of the day was a creative take on chicken gumbo, perfect for the chilly February weather; we shared a cup, which was hearty and packed with chicken, chorizo sausage, and vegetables—a bowl of it would make a great meal on its own. The house bread was another highlight, offered in two varieties—one topped with sesame seeds, and the other plain. The lobster ravioli with pink champagne sauce was perfectly dense and incredibly flavorful. My partner remarked that one of his old friends always orders this when they dine together; I can see why, and I was pleased to have leftovers for the next day. D'Amelio's take on Veal Saltimbocca deviates from the traditional Alla Romana style by incorporating Portobello mushrooms, but my partner enjoyed it immensely and had no complaints about this interpretation. The dish also came with mozzarella, and the sautéed spinach she chose as a side was cooked just right, leaving her satisfied with her leftovers as well. We rounded off the meal with two cappuccinos—one with Amaretto and the other with Bailey's—which added a lovely touch to this wonderful culinary experience. They also offer lunch specials, including salads and paninis, for those dining during the day. Additionally, there’s a private event room on the ground floor for larger parties, a separate bar, and two floors of dining options. Buon appetito!"

"Do not dine here for an authentic experience. Ordered for 9 people for an order over 180$ and not only was food lacking substance, it was flavorless and plain. Much of the food served was from a can. Enchilada tortillas were literally just filledwith a brick of cheese and warmed no seasoning whatsoever. One guest complained about their chicken tacos that [therestaurant] didnt even try . A greasy 20$ plate of nachos had canned jalepenos and olives on top of cheese most likely melted ina microwave. Couldve made the same plate with less than 2$ worth of groceries AND it wouldve tasted better. I ate a quarter ofmy nachos and threw the rest out. It just wasnt worth the effort. I am extremely disappointed for myself and my guests. You guyshave to do better. Normally, I wouldnt leave such a review over one or two plates but there was an issue with every plateordered. I can barely stand Taco bell and that would have been more enjoyable"
