"On a visit this December weekend, we purchased just over a quarter pound of baked cookies for around nine dollars. There was a small variety of cookies wrapped in cellophane for $30, close to a pound in weight. Another customer was collecting a large tray of cookies, showcasing the wide range available at the bakery. During a return visit for lunch, we shared a delicious chicken parmesan grinder. The chicken was perfectly fried, moist, and well-seasoned. We also tried a seafood salad from the deli, which consisted of shrimp, crab, mayo, celery, and red onion, and surprisingly, even my partner who usually dislikes mayo enjoyed it. We were informed that anything made with mayonnaise is freshly prepared daily. The bar side of the store offered quick service and a diverse selection of drinks. The space was inviting, with a great array of Italian dishes ranging from grinders and pasta to pastries and salads. We split a veal parm grinder and had some lemonade, and also ordered some meatballs and rice balls to go. The deli had a cozy atmosphere for dining in. My companion mentioned that the hot Noochie grinders are also worth trying, particularly The Town Plotter and The HC Crusader. Fans of Soppressata can enjoy it in The Mama D grinder or in takeout containers. Overall, Noochie's is a fantastic addition to the local dining scene."

Hands down the best sandwiches around. Located where Aventura used to be, Noochie's is doing everything the right way. The something special is one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Will absolutely be going back.

I LOVE this place...it is close enough to my apartment that I can walk there, and do on a nice summer night. The food in general is delicious, but there grinders are arguably the best in CT. They are a little high, but in this instance...you get what you pay for. The staff is always friendly courteous. If you are looking for a great quality grinder with the best ingredients give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

The staff was incredibly friendly when we arrived. The food was so delicious the first time, we had to come back to confirm it wasn't a fluke. Everything we've ordered so far has been excellent! The rice balls are massive! I would come back just for the soup. After our meal, we checked out the deli/bakery side. You simply must try the ice box cake. I highly recommend this place. I'll continue to post pictures as I explore the menu. I'm currently working my way through the entire menu! View menu

"This restaurant has been a favorite of my partner since the eighties when it was merely a small Italian grocery store and deli, known for its hot and cold grinders. About twenty years ago, it transitioned into the popular restaurant it is today. Starting with her cucumber martini made with Hendricks Gin, I must say it was the best cucumber martini I've ever had—absolutely perfect in taste, balance, and coldness. (Patrons can also opt for Crop cucumber vodka.) The cocktail menu is impressive. The Cabernet Sauvignon we chose was smooth and paired beautifully with our meal. The Mozzarella Di Casa was particularly noteworthy, featuring a satisfying crunch from the bread and a creamy lemon butter wine sauce, presenting a refreshing twist on the traditional En Carozza version usually served with red sauce. The visual presentation, cut into triangles, was enticing even before the first bite. The soup of the day was a creative take on chicken gumbo, perfect for the chilly February weather; we shared a cup, which was hearty and packed with chicken, chorizo sausage, and vegetables—a bowl of it would make a great meal on its own. The house bread was another highlight, offered in two varieties—one topped with sesame seeds, and the other plain. The lobster ravioli with pink champagne sauce was perfectly dense and incredibly flavorful. My partner remarked that one of his old friends always orders this when they dine together; I can see why, and I was pleased to have leftovers for the next day. D'Amelio's take on Veal Saltimbocca deviates from the traditional Alla Romana style by incorporating Portobello mushrooms, but my partner enjoyed it immensely and had no complaints about this interpretation. The dish also came with mozzarella, and the sautéed spinach she chose as a side was cooked just right, leaving her satisfied with her leftovers as well. We rounded off the meal with two cappuccinos—one with Amaretto and the other with Bailey's—which added a lovely touch to this wonderful culinary experience. They also offer lunch specials, including salads and paninis, for those dining during the day. Additionally, there’s a private event room on the ground floor for larger parties, a separate bar, and two floors of dining options. Buon appetito!"
