The cod is thicker than most other fish n chips establishments. The clam chowder was the thickest I've ever had. Very thick, you're just a level below gravy. I ordered a 2 piece cod n chips, and a cup of clam chowder. I enjoyed all of it! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Ver carta

Stopped in for Fish/Chips Clam Strips. Good portion 2 piece Cod was dense and chips were cooked to perfection. I must say I was impressed with the lack of grease present in my to go container once I finished my meal. Great place, great food and friendly staff. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner

I have been going to this restaurant near my home for a few years now and it's my family's favorite spot for chowder and fish and chips. I have tried many items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and always greets you when you walk in. The restaurant is always clean, which is important to me. Oliver's is a fantastic discovery! The food is prepared fresh when you order it, served hot, and packed with delicious flavor. We popped in for lunch on a weekday to grab a takeout order and were immediately greeted. If dining in, you would order at the counter and then select a table from the many available. The service is friendly and efficient. The portion sizes are reasonable for the price and, once again, the food is simply outstanding.

I recently tried the halibut at Bell Buoy in Seaside, Oregon, and it was the best I've ever had in Washington state! I make a point to try fish and chips wherever I go, and Bell Buoy definitely holds the top spot for me. The halibut was absolutely amazing. On the other hand, I have to be honest about Oliver's. While their fried halibut is delicious, I wouldn't order their cod again. Their French fries are average, so I usually opt for their Caesar salad instead. The biggest letdown at Oliver's is their tartar sauce—it's not good at all. Their chowder also left something to be desired.
