Simon & Seafort's - Carta

Everything was great! Celebrated New Year’s with my wife. We are both satisfied with the service, atmosphere and food. Would recommend to others.

I had the scallops, and my husband had the black cod. Both dinners were barely warm. Our appetizer of coconut salmon and the blue affinee salad were wonderful!

at the first service was slow, but the manager got us with free drinks. we had calamari and fillet mignon. that was delicious. we would return to simon and seaforts. Yes. Ver carta

As a family of four with two teens, we booked a table at Simon Seafort's for New Year’s Eve. The restaurant was accommodating to everyone’s attire (Smart or Casual), the service was excellent, and mistakes were quickly corrected. The menu was simple, and the food was of a high quality and tasted amazing. The atmosphere of people talking, laughing and enjoying themselves was infectious. Highly recommended if your visiting Anchorage.

Our server was great. She was very attentive, listened to our requests and was accommodating. Simons used to be one of the nicest restaurants to visit but the quality of the food, amount of food and presentation have changed a lot over the years. The food has become more average. The size of the servings are less, quality is not as good as it used to be. The atmosphere and views are great but we don’t feel Simons as a fine dining good quality restaurant anymore.

not what it was earlier. last time, they were always disappointing. scallops got cold. on the top of the kartoffels, they looked and tasted as if they came from the stouffers frozen bag of safeway. two of the three broth plates at our sitting were coated in a dirt/handle, and the crab artichoke dive, which was always my favorite and I often ordered it, had long thick strands of artichoke, which it was difficult to eat, there was no crab taste and I could not see crab, and quite meh. for a disappointing expensive meal. the service was good. We were greeted promptly and taken to our table. Our waiter, Benson, was very professional and kept us advised about the status of our order. We had a question about one of the vegetables on my plate and he came back quickly with the ingredients (all very delicious) from the kitchen. We had oysters (outstanding) and the French Onion soup and the Seafood Chowder which were both very delicious. The main courses of Grilled Seafood Trio and the Brandy-Apple glazed Salmon were both so flavorful and well presented. This restaurant is on the top of our list for atmosphere, service, and outstanding food and wine.

On our last night in Anchorage, we wanted to try local seafood, and Simon Seafort came recommended. The black cod in maple-bourbon and miso was outstanding. The glaze was just enough to provide flavor without overwhelming the cod, which tasted incredibly fresh. My wife had the wild sockeye, and she was ecstatic. Perfectly grilled to bring out the flavor without being overcooked. The spinach salad was very good, especially the egg-mustard dressing, which again was enough to lend flavor without drowning the fresh spinach. If you're in Anchorage and looking for excellent seafood (and a beautiful view of Cook Inlet), cannot recommend Simon Seafort enough.

Let’s just start with the front of the house. Excellent reception and welcoming spirit. No issues there front the hosts desk to the table. Once we were introduced to Kathleen at our table things changed dramatically. I’m not sure what issue she had going on but there was clearly a sense of not wanting to be there, and little care for her job. we ordered cocktails and once they arrived one of them arrived in a dirty glass, and I’m not talking water mark dirty, I’m talking fingerprints (looked like greasy fingerprints). We took plenty of pictures btw…. When we pointed out about 7 minutes later when Kathleen decided to stop by to check on us after receiving our drinks i mentioned it to her. She... Ver carta
