Sobo Ramen - Carta

This is the best ramen I've ever tasted! I love that it's not greasy and is full of flavor. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

The food was average; I’ve had better ramen at other places. Unfortunately, I ended up with food poisoning and ended up vomiting my entire meal.

I really adore this restaurant. The handcrafted noodles and tasty broth choices are just incredible. As soon as the weather gets cold, I make it a priority to come back every couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, this restaurant has seen a decline in quality over the last few months, while prices have increased. It used to be my favorite place for spicy miso ramen, but the recipe has changed. The broth is now too salty, the eggs are hard-boiled, and the noodles have become gummy.

The ramen was quite ordinary and didn't justify the price. Out of our group of five, only three of us ended up ordering and eating. Additionally, we were charged a service fee just because we had five people at the table, even though the restaurant was slow and only had three groups in total during our visit. I have no intention of returning.

I absolutely love this ramen! I consider it the best in all of Oakland. The broth is chicken-based, which is my preferred style, and while I particularly enjoy the miso-flavored broth, the shoyu is great as well. I would pass on the shio broth, but that's just my personal preference. The quality of the food is excellent, and the taste is always spot-on, no matter when you visit; it’s consistently enjoyable. This place is definitely a must-try! Just a quick note: they rarely have gluten-free ramen available, so don’t count on that, even if their menu suggests otherwise—it may not be up to date. Ver carta
