"A friend and I walked in on Monday for lunch. It wasn't that busy. We were sat down immediately. EXPERIENCEThe service was really impressive. Especially for a small mom and pop asian noodle place. I suppose it wasn't that busy, but the sever was super attentive. She brought us extra napkins and water before we even knew we needed it, and we needed it since the food was kind of spicy. Also, random note, they were playing Taylor Swift, the album, the entire time we were there, and I enjoyed that very much.FOOD(5/5) Braised Beef Rice Noodle Soup this has three spice label on the menu, the highest was six spice. I thought I could handle it. While it was spicy, I managed, I overall still enjoyed the experience, but it was definitely noticeable. I sniffled and gulped water. Still delicious though. The noodles were well cooked and I was surprised how much I enjoyed them as I don't normally love rice noodles because the can be overcooked easily. The bokchoy was a nice edition, gives a break from the spice. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful. Highly recommend if you can take a bit of heat.OVERVIEWThis place was quite affordable. Really delicious and flavorful, but beware the spice! Amazing service. Good tunes. I want to try more of their dishes in the future. I highly suggest you come here! Its a good causal spot for a fast meal, or to sit down and catch up with friends. Try it for yourself!"

Yunnan cuisine is spicy but less greasy and more veggies than Szechuan cuisine. Very friendly staff. Authentic feel and taste

I discovered small pieces of meat in my vegetarian fried rice noodles, which was a very unpleasant experience. Food rating: 1/5.

A total gem in Brighton as I had not had Yunnan cuisine before. This is definitely worth a visit and it is especially cool that it is woman and immigrant owned. Had the Crossing the Bridge and the Jalapeño noodle both excellent, and great heat!

The noodles here are so delicious, everything is fresh and also fast. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a cozy , very clean space. Parking behind the building in a municipal lot. Everything we got was outstanding. Can't wait to go back, I'm dreaming of those noodles.

This food is so good it made me swoon like a cartoon character after the first bite. I can't put my finger on how to describe the taste of the gravy noodles, my go-to, but it's just impeccable. Add to this the best small-shop atmosphere and it's just a total home run. Go here; six stars.Parking: Street parkingWheelchair accessibility: Front door is up a step, close quarters; just an outdated building

Excellent Yunnan rice noodle restaurant in Brighton. The rice noodle dishes all come with lots of toppings, but you can always add more. Braised beef rice noodle soup has a rich, flavorful broth, but not heavy.Rice noodles with gravy has cubed stewed meat sauce, incredibly flavorful. Pickled veggies had a salty and tangy flavor, very refreshing.Cold dishes were also well seasoned with traditional Yunnan spices. The owner also opened Yunnan Kitchen in Back Bay, another excellent restaurant. What he said next shocked me. He told me to just "hide it from him" and suggested I cover the screen with my hand. I was taken aback and, to my disbelief, I thought I heard him curse at me in Cantonese after I addressed him in Mandarin. I truly cannot express how rude and unsettling this experience was; I've never encountered such poor service in my life. If incidents like this continue, I would seriously recommend that you consider closing this establishment. I assure you that I am not fabricating anything about what happened today. You need to address these issues if you want to avoid losing regular customers in the future.

For a quick Friday dinner, my friends and I decided to get some rice noodle soup at South of the Clouds. Arriving just before 7pm, we received seating immediately, placed our orders, and received food promptly. I ordered the rice noodle soup in clay pot 砂锅米线 $17.25), described in the menu as "signature rice noodle cooked in clay pot with specialbroth topped with braised pork, quail egg, assorted handpicked vegetables). The portion size seemed reasonable, and the ground beef seemed well marinated. The marinade mixed into the broth for a decent contrast of savory flavors. However, the bowl had sat for a bit before serving, rendering the rice noodles slightly soggy and the broth warm but not...

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
