The Palms - Carta

Disappointing experience. The food was bad and so were the drinks! Never going back to this place.

We had a lovely Valentine dinner that did not feel rushed or crowded. This is a great spot for dinner, conversation, and yummy food and drinks.

Valentines Day Dinner. We ate outside on the patio, patio heaters were on. Wonderful Halibut filet with asparagus and mashed potatoes! The waitress was fabulous and we had a wonderful evening. Ver carta

The setting was beautiful, eating outside on a warm summer evening. The service was odd. It took a long time to order. We received the soup, salad, and entree all at the same time. The medium rib eye was past well done. Leaving this review mostly as a personal reminder not to go back.

Overall the food was average at best and seemed to be on par with items easily obtained from Trader Joe’s. It was decent food but not really any elevation given to any of the dishes we had. Service was ok but had to ask for any refills of water and drinks. Spacing of the food was not the best either.

Nice place, very kind people serving, and this is always the most important for me. They were very kind. But the food is not really good. I ordered fish tacos and the mahi-mahi plate, the flavor was nothing special for the price, not very well served, so simple. I think it would be a great place if they have a better chef. For fish I prefer Pacific Catch, their fish taste very fresh and very well served plus they have better prices. Ver carta

We had to wait a very long time for someone to take our order. More than 30 minutes. I finally approached the stewardess and asked if we could get a server. It was still another 5-10 minutes before someone came. Then we had to wait a very long time for our food. Two members of our party received theirs a full 10-15 minutes before the other two. We weren't the only ones experiencing this. I could hear servers, the manager, the stewardess making apologies. Not sure what happened but not sure I'll go back. The food itself was good.

We sat outside, at a special table they set up for us in a separate location (which we requested with the Omicron variant in mind, for the safety of an elderly person in our party), so not sure if that was the reason for the wonderfully low noise level. I had asked for a white tablecloth since our meal was for a special occasion (two families meeting for the first time right before a wedding) and they obliged. The service was attentive and not intrusive (which I definitely appreciate), and the food was delicious and well presented. Prices were fine for what we received.

So disappointed. Went there with family and friends, expecting a good experience. Had been there before a few times and the food was good, and excellent atmosphere. Not sure what the deal was, but the service was S L O W and terrible. Didn't bring me what I asked them to, took forever to wait on us, and there were 3 different people coming to our table. Had to go grab someone to bring us salt and lemon. Worst of all, $50 steak and fish, that tasted TERRIBLE. The food was so gross I didn't even finish it. I don't think I'll ever be going back there. What a waste of time and money. Ver carta
