"on Thursday evening in this place on the water. happy greeted and greeted. assembled immediately, and boom, the adventurous began! the server, megan, was great. great menu-knowledge, great table-manier! there is so much to choose on this menu! for a small venue, the menu is a virtual library with choices! we chose our headdress, the hands down the best fried huh in wilmington that was the easy part! the choice of the side was a bit more difficult. I took the french fries (spicky seasoned) and roasted cauliflower (perfect seasoned with soy sauce and bacon bits the meal was served quite fast, and it was absolutely insane blow. hot, fresh, juicy and delicate. the salty tanga of the soles and the very slightly fried taste, made it really, one of the most authentic tasting fried chicken dishes I have ever had! it was just from the cast iron capability of my grandmother! and the amount of food was incredible. breast, thigh, bein and wing with two exquisite sides and completely mouthwatering bananenpudding! You can't miss it. we were first timer, but we're coming back for more and more!"

"I can't give enough praise to this 100% vegan restaurant—just don't tell your meat-loving friends; they'll never notice the difference! The daily menu features a variety of options including burgers, salads, tacos, sandwiches, and wraps, all of which are incredibly delicious. And you absolutely have to experience their Sunday brunch; it's truly mind-blowing! The service is outstanding and attentive, whether you're sitting indoors or outdoors. You must try their dessert as well! They make their kombucha in-house, which is quite popular, but it's not really my thing. They recently expanded the restaurant, adding a beautiful new area that matches the charm of the original space. I highly recommend this place—it's my favorite spot in Wilmington!"

"First time in Wilmington, and we wanted to go to a nice restaurant to celebrate a birthday, and Circa 1922 was exactly what we were looking for! We were in a back booth, so it was cozy and romantic, and the piano playing was wonderful, but not overly loud. Our service was outstanding, and our server was attentive but not overbearing, knowledgeable, and friendly. We decided on a bottle of champagne, and our server did a great job with this! Food was exceptional--we had the shrimp and pork spring rolls appetizer--delicious! I had the shrimp ceviche cold tapas, I really liked it and loved the marinade. My boyfriend had the filet and said it was one of the best he's ever had. We will definitely be back when we are town again!"

"Platypus and Gnome never disappoints. We have eaten there many times and usually try something new. This time the Fall menu was featured. For starters we shared a bowl of Wild Boar Soup, it was absolutely delicious. We plan to go back just for the soup. I had A Little Off-Beet salad, simply perfect blend of sweet beets and savory duck pastrami with a simple vinaigrette. Husband had the Elk Burger and it was also delicious and cooked to perfection. We both highly recommend this restaurant for an eclectic selection of wonderful fare!"
