Eat my first time at ZAXBYS. I visited North Carolina and I thought it was a chicken sandwich. It was.

Recently renovated Zaxby's location, offering the reliably consistent fast-casual American fare of wings and chicken.

The restaurant was clean, and the staff who took my order were very friendly. I came specifically for the Asian salad, which was good, though I found it a bit less sharp and fresh than I had hoped. Despite that, I would definitely return. Ver carta

August 1, 2022 We went to Zaxby's to dine for the first time and the food was okay. I had a Cobb Salad which came with fried onions in it and Texas Toast on the side. It was a decent portion, eatable not necessarily flavorful though. The price point was reasonable.

Where do I start? We tend to wait a while before ordering again because they always mess up our order, but I like to give them multiple chances since every place has bad days. Honestly, we forget why we stopped eating there until we try again. This time, an entire kids meal was missing, none of the meals had Zax sauce, the extra sauce we paid for was absent, and we received the wrong sandwich covered in a sauce we didn’t want—even though the receipt was correct. I might blame it on the pandemic and staff shortages if this hadn’t been the usual experience well before that.

This was my first visit to Zaxby's in two months, and I used the drive-thru. After being asked to wait, I waited about five minutes before placing my order without any issues. I asked for two specific drinks, but they were unavailable, so I accepted the default sweet tea. I also requested spicy Zax sauce, but when I got my order, the sauce was missing and the cashier didn’t inform me they were out. I went inside and was then told they were out of both spicy and regular Zax sauce, with no substitute offered. To make matters worse, they didn’t give me a receipt. I've consistently had issues with my orders being incorrect at this restaurant. They don't call when a certain flavor is unavailable and just substitute it without asking. The chicken, which used to be delicious, now feels overcooked and tough, almost impossible to chew. This has been my experience during my last few visits. I always order the wings and things, but recently they completely drenched the container in BBQ sauce—there was so much that it was overflowing, almost like they used half a bottle. On top of that, the fries were cold. They're frequently out of items; tonight they were out of tea, and in the past few visits, they’ve also run out of teriyaki sauce. Date of last visit: 12/...

On Friday, I visited M Bogen 18 at 9:31 p.m. and was pleasantly surprised to find that they weren't busy. A friendly young lady swiftly took my order and brought my food. The reason I’m giving it 3 stars is because of the food quality. I had been informed that the salad included grilled chicken, which was fine since it was just 30 minutes before closing. However, the chicken was either overcooked or reheated because it ended up being overly crispy. The salad itself was decent, but I didn’t receive any dressing. Fortunately, I was able to add some when I got home. Had I ordered it to take back to work or elsewhere, I wouldn't have been able to eat it without dressing, especially with the cris...

I ordered a chicken finger meal and some fried pickles and the lady on the drive through speaker repeated what I said about 3 times because I wanted to make sure she got it right. I go to the pay window and I pay and they ask me to park by the front door, no big deal I guess but it was annoying, I wait by the front door for about 10 minutes before they finally come out with my food and when I get home and look they didn’t give me the extra sauces I paid for, didn’t sub the Cole slaw for fries like I asked, and I’m just really disappointed that I paid for certain things and didn’t even get them after having to wait like that.
