"Wow!!! Just go! As we always do, we consulted Google maps when we found ourselves in a city we've never been, to help us decide what to have for dinner. The reviews for Pizzeria DiLauro convinced us that we must go. The set up is nice; as they have a dining room for families and also have the lounge next door for the 21+ crowd. We snagged two seats at the bar and were greeted quickly. One of the reasons we were drawn to this place was the reviews and photos of their house made meatballs. We quickly learned that their house made meatballs are only available on Wednesdays but the pizzas coming out of the kitchen looked incredible so we knew we were still going to have a great dinner. We chose the Luca pizza: pepperoni, pickled jalapenos and a drizzle of hot honey for good measure. The pizza was perfection! A beautiful, thin, crunchy crust, with a light sauce that let the toppings shine. I wouldn't change a thing about this pizza! The cocktails were well made and refreshing, as well. Two things I'd recommend: go early on Friday if you want to avoid a wait. We got there at 4p and had no problem getting a seat. But when we left at 515p, there were at least 15 groups patiently waiting for a table. Second recommendation get the homemade cannoli! We had the orange cream on this visit and WOW was it delicious!! We will definitely be back on a Wednesday to try the meatballs!!!! Service: Dine in Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4"

"So 6 years ago I left the below review. which you can see under this one I am doing today. I thought by now they would have gotten their act together. Giving local restaurants my hard earned money is important to me so I figured I 'd give them another try.....6 years is enough time to do better. Not so...never going back here again! I orderd the Ceaser Salad with Salmon and a side of vegetables. The side of vegetables of which I paid plenty for consisted of 3 pieces of sliced Zucchini, two pebble size pieces of onion and a tiny square of a red pepper. Are you kidding me? $7.00 for a side of vegetables that literally would have left a 9 month old hungry! I called the restaurant to see if they forgot to include a side and all the girl on the phone could say was sorry that 's just how we do it. The salad was not good and once again, even after telling them more than once the food came to me with no napkins and no plastic utensils. Burntwood Tavern loves to have you eat your take out food with your hands! There are so many other restaurants who deserve my hard earned money...this is definitely not one of them. Poor food, poor service, poor everything. I 'd stay away and try some other restaurant around town. Once bitten...twice shy! Horrible! Just picked up take out when I told myself I wouldn 't do it again. Flatbread was ice cold, hummus was not good, and I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for food to come out when we gave them a 1/2 hour notice before pick up. They didn 't seem too busy so not sure why that happened. Anyways never been impressed with this place so not going back. Great atmosphere and good looking building but had more than twice mediocre experiences so its off the list."

"My family and I visited this restaurant about two months ago, and I would like to share our experience. Perhaps it will be useful to someone planning a visit. I will start by saying that the service left us with a very mixed impression. In all fairness, I will note that our waitress was polite, friendly, and smiling. However, her professionalism raised serious questions. My husband asked her several clarifying questions about the menu, regarding the type of oysters, their origin, and the regularity of their serving. The waitress could not answer right away, went to the kitchen for clarification, and returned with general information. When my husband tried to clarify additional details and also asked questions about sashimi, its composition, and serving, she did not answer, citing the fact that she did not understand our accent. I would like to clarify some things about the accent. My husband has lived in the United States for over 30 years, is a PhD scientist, a university professor, the author of multiple scientific articles, and the president of a large company. We did not discuss the android collider or rocket science with her. We had a simple conversation about the menu, which, in our opinion, should be part of the basic knowledge of the waiter. As a result, it seemed that the waitress was covering up her ignorance with such excuses. It was also unpleasant to notice the familiarity and fraternization in her communication with us, which we consider unacceptable in professional service. This restaurant is small, and on the day of our visit, it was completely full. The waitress clearly could not cope with the workload, which may explain her desire to minimize communication with customers. At the same time, as it seemed to us, more attention was paid to regular guests while the new visitors remained waiting. Despite these unpleasantries, the kitchen left a good impression. The food was delicious, and the cooks really knew their business. However, a restaurant is not only food, but also the atmosphere, the level of service and the general mood that guests leave with. Alas, in this case, we did not have the desire to return."

"I haven’t eaten M Italian in almost 2 years because the last previous two occasions my experiences were not great. Unfortunately, things are still not great. Today I ordered the salmon salad. The salmon was very salty, overcooked, and basically just didn’t seem fresh. The salad leaves were wilted, avocado was black, no tomatoes as advertised on menu and a couple sprinkles of feta cheese. My friend also has not eaten at M Italian in a couple years. She had the chicken Parmesan. It was basically pan fried chicken sliced served with a salty tomato sauce on the side and cold mozzarella thrown on top of sliced chicken. It was more like chicken fingers with a red dipping sauce. The price on the lunch menu is $20. We got charged $26. I didn’t realize this until I came home to write this review. Perhaps it was because my friend swapped pasta for salad. But the waitress never mentioned an up charge. The waitress was distant. we received our food one plate at a time. First my salad then about 10 minutes later, my friend received her salad and a few minutes later her chicken Fingers. The waitress never asked how the meal was and never cleared the table. When I did mention I wasn’t happy with my salmon. She just started to walk away before I could finish. I stopped her so I can continue my concerns over my meal and asked her to tell the chef. She never came back with an apology or acknowledge that she passed my concerns on. After asking for the bill twice, sitting at a dirty table, she finally brought the bill. 15% was a generous tip, considering her lack of concern for an unhappy customer and her waitressing skills. I will not be returning to this restaurant or recommended it to friends or family. I normally don’t write reviews, but the food was such poor quality and the service appalling. The only good thing about this restaurant was the two young man working at the Valet service! Very polite!"
