"First off, the parking lot seems to accommodate only five cars. While it’s probably closer to 25, you get the idea. Inside the building, the ambiance feels a bit generic, almost like being in a Chipotle. Nevertheless, they have incorporated some nice design elements, such as a beautiful wooden beam strung with lights right above the bar. The walls are decorated with tin, and there are rustic tables with plenty of outdoor seating near heaters.
This would all be lovely, but then there’s the overhead LED lighting. It looks like it was directly taken from a truck meant for shining deer late at night and just plopped onto the ceiling. Strangely, this harsh lighting even finds its way into the bathroom, making it feel more like a surgical room than a place to freshen up.
Now, let’s talk about the beers I sampled. Unfortunately, the same issue plagues too many microbreweries. The cream ale was overly hoppy, the Oktoberfest was similarly hoppy. The only beer that actually impressed me was the Sexy Tractor. And that’s saying something, considering I typically dislike IPAs. It was smooth, not overly bitter, and had a bit of flavor.
But the true standout of this place is their seltzer. It’s fantastic! My friend tried all three flavors, and for the first time at any brewery we visited, she wanted to order a crowler. They were tart, sweet, and just amazing. I don’t know what secret they’ve got going on in the back, but wow, the seltzer is simply superb!"
