"Went here for a double date a few weeks back. A friend at the table was having issues finding a plate she wanted. When she asked for a pasta plate with an order of chicken ON THE SIDE, it was flat out refused. Everything was prepared the true Italian way . I payed for my appetizer and we left. I do not belive this food is cooked on premises; it is made elsewhere (the other restaurant) and brought in. This is why they can not simply add a chicken breast on the side.What really amazes me is the audacity the owner has to be combative and criticize a factual review. She then took the time to try to shame my friend who wrote a truthful review not once but twice by editing her response a week later after she sat there googling him. This is shameful for the owner and her staff. I do not know where these 5 star reviews talking about service come from because the woman was rude, pushy and arrogant as an angry boar.Hint for the staff: If a customer asks what a plate is prepared like, do not tell them to google it as your first answer. Response This is a case of bad communication turned worse. At no point did we want that. She simply asked for chicken of any kind to be added to the dish. When the waitress said no, we asked if we could pay for just a piece of fried chicken to be eaten with it. Flat out refused.There is no hate involved in this post. I liked my appetizer. I disliked the way the waitress was pushy and kinda rude. My friend chose to write a review at the time. I did not. Someone responded day of. Some one then chose to google him and change the review response a week later? Very unprofessional, rude, and uncalled for.My review is again a service review on the first issue in the resturant, and now this googling habit.Good appetizer, bad manners."

"This has been one of our favorite restaurants on Staten Island. The food is amazing. My husband swears the etoufe is better than in New Orleans. The atmosphere is lovely. We were in the back area and it was cozy and warm. But service was very slow last night. It took a while for our order to be taken and then over 30 minutes for our meal to come some problem with the waiter not putting in the order correctly or on time. The manager was lovely and apologetic and comped us a drink each, which we appreciated. We're very sad to hear it is closing next month."

"This place was nice for dine in for a group. They had a cool fish tank in the front. There is a wide variety of food options, but the Korean BBQ required minimum 2 people to order and was the most expensive side.I got the sushi tempera roll combo which was a good combination of shrimp, chicken, and spider (soft shell crab . It was pretty good, but it was unclear if it came with soup and salad but they were dropped off and we had to check and the server seemed confused what we were checking about.My husband got a steak and scallop hibachi bento box dinner. The steak was fine, but the vegetables it came with ere really onion-heavy (like 80% , and rice and noodles were pretty flavorless. They didn't taste freshly cooked, with a firmness to them.Some people in our group didn't get the food until way after, to the point we had to follow up and see if it had been forgotten. The service was okay. I know groups are hard, but we were also on a weeknight early when there weren't other groups.The parking lot is okay but a little small. The food was okay, but it wasn't anything special. The family liked it though, so maybe there are some better hits in there."

"Absolutely beautiful decor. Sitting by the wall to wall glass overlooking the water,watching the lights come on as night fell,seeing the tugboats sail by was reason enough to come here. The server was very attentive, being sure my order was correct and to my satisfaction. My mango mocktail could have benefited from slices of real mango,but they did not overdo the syrup,the fresh basil and lime,made for a good tasting drink. The Mediterranean salad could have used fresh dill and thyme,had they dressed it with the olive oil that came in the small cup of olives,it would have been heaven. However I did just pour thr oil over the salad,along with the olives. The golden raisins mixed in with the olives made them excellent. My lamb chop eS cooked to a perfect medium rare. This is an excellent restaurant, l look forward to returning."

"Our server, Danny, was attentive and friendly. The chef, Kimmy, put on a great show, cracking jokes and engaging us as he expertly tossed cucumber squares. I had hoped to catch some cooking sake like you see on TV, but that didn’t happen—probably for safety reasons since there were younger guests around. My filet mignon was seasoned perfectly and cooked rare as I requested; it was fantastic. After the show, however, I felt a bit rushed to finish my meal as the takeout containers arrived promptly. I understand the need for high turnover, but it felt a bit rushed for my liking. I noticed the manager, Santino, helping another table that was having trouble with their griddle, and he made sure we were happy with our experience too. I look forward to returning with my girlfriend in a few months, hoping for a more leisurely meal and better sake options."

"I was recommended by a friend that the food was good which it was but we ordered a bottle of wine that we never tried and when we did we really liked it, not knowing that the same bottle cost 9.79 and we paid 45 a bottle. I understand it cost more when your dining but not that much more of a profit. I go out to eat a lot and I usually pay double for a bottle which is understanding but this this insane. "Dinner at J's On The Bay! They recently went through a complete renovation with a revised menu that I was very excited to try. For a starter we have the mozzarella sticks. These are not only any ordinary frozen mozzerella sticks, they are homemade with lioni?s mozzarella and their own garlic bread crust, along with a side of vodka sauce. For entrees we got drunken dumplings that are ricotta gnocchi with vodka sauce, and the Carbonara Pasta. In addition, we also received mini-Foccacia-Brot-style pizzas. Everything was fantastic and I can't wait to try out more things from the new menu in the future."

I could care less for the pretentious wanna be brooklyn hipster craft beer **** and their bartenders couldn 't make a decent cocktail to save their lives. do yourselves a favor. follow my 3 strike rule and don 't go there. I will never waste my time in this well decorated dumpster fire of a restaurant/brewery. Go buy a 6 pack at a bodega and support a local business worth your money, this place isn 't it."

The BLT was also ok the bread was a little tough to eat with the not crispybacon. The Burger was good and had a hop shop stamp of approval on top. They also have a brunch menu and regular menu. The onlydownfall are the games some of them did not work and some only took quarters versus tokens. The skee ball is by the bar the restof the games are in the back in its own room. Most of the games are joy stick, pinball style. Definitely a good friends nightout on a budget for brunch. Check them out support local businesses! ."

"Ashley was very friendly and helpful with the menu. I appreciate when the waitress or waitors know the menu and have good recommendations. We loved her would absolutely come again and again. The food was amazing I was surprised because I had not been here since the renovations.
