"Went here for a double date a few weeks back. A friend at the table was having issues finding a plate she wanted. When she asked for a pasta plate with an order of chicken ON THE SIDE, it was flat out refused. Everything was prepared the true Italian way . I payed for my appetizer and we left. I do not belive this food is cooked on premises; it is made elsewhere (the other restaurant) and brought in. This is why they can not simply add a chicken breast on the side. What really amazes me is the audacity the owner has to be combative and criticize a factual review. She then took the time to try to shame my friend who wrote a truthful review not once but twice by editing her response a week later after she sat there googling him. This is shameful for the owner and her staff. I do not know where these 5 star reviews talking about service come from because the woman was rude, pushy and arrogant as an angry boar.Hint for the staff: If a customer asks what a plate is prepared like, do not tell them to google it as your first answer. Response This is a case of bad communication turned worse. At no point did we want that. She simply asked for chicken of any kind to be added to the dish. When the waitress said no, we asked if we could pay for just a piece of fried chicken to be eaten with it. Flat out refused. There is no hate involved in this post. I liked my appetizer. I disliked the way the waitress was pushy and kinda rude. My friend chose to write a review at the time. I did not. Someone responded day of. Some one then chose to google him and change the review response a week later? Very unprofessional, rude, and uncalled for.My review is again a service review on the first issue in the resturant, and now this googling habit.Good appetizer, bad manners."

"we moved to florida and wanted to get a good NY pizza before we go and my friend found this place, he took a quick disc and came to home raving about it! So we ordered the Wednesday Sicilian cake special, oh young it was one of the best I ever had! it was very lit not too thick the sose is delicious I like extra sosse perfect amount cheese, the crust was crispy, but glowed as a spring! I don't know how they did this! Something with the diligent is a secret! They can taste the fermented flavor on a good wise when they know about the teig making. they know what they do! I like it better than I"

"Unfortunately it was one of the worst restaurant experiences ever, the place was so cold that everyone was sitting with their winter coats on as they ate and periodically going to the back to warm themselves by the fireplace as if they were at an outdoor campfire. It's sad being Christmas Eve and being acutely aware how difficult it has been for restaurants post pandemic. We tried to overlook the poor service since there was one server for all the tables. The food was cold, the main course wasn't what was ordered, served chicken rather than the braised shortribs that my husband ordered. Server was so embarrassed she tried avoiding us. Never offered a refill on our empty drinks, then told us the 100 AMEX gift card couldn't be processed because their credit card machine wouldn't process it without adding a 3.5 credit card fee in spite of it being a gift card not a credit card. I had to challenge the hostess to call AMEX to straighten out their problem. I wasn't going to add another 100 in cash to the tab as they seemed to want. They finally called AMEX, after 25 minutes they said they could only use 83.00 of the 100 and I should pay the rest in cash use it elsewhere. I told them to keep it when they figured it out they would have the full 100 face value. I tipped the server 20 in spite of the ruined evening. The parking valet was the highlight of the evening. Will never return to The Richmond, there are way too many fine restaurants on the north shore of Staten Island to deal with an establishment so subpar !"

"I have visited this restaurant a few times and I have enjoyed the food. The staff are friendly and the crab bisque was delicious. My favorite dish is the tuna/salmon pizza. While I find the prices to be a bit higher than average, the renovation of the restaurant makes up for it. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars, as I don't think the $100 toro is worth it. Overall, it is a pretty good dining experience."

"What a wonderful place! I had lunch with an old friend here who lives on Staten Island, and this place is a real surprise. Genuine Louisiana cuisine and plenty of it! From the outside the place is not much to look at, but step through the door and you're in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. We were warmly welcomed and the service was consistently excellent. I enjoyed the alligator bites and the jambalaya. A really nice tough was that they brought 2 bottles of hot sauce over to the table, so the heat was up to you. I don't get to Staten Island often but when I do I'll come back to Bayou. Really Excellent!"

"Tokyo Sushi Japanese has a cozy and authentic atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly. One of the standout features of Tokyo Sushi Japanese is its sushi. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of sushi rolls, sashimi, and even oysters, all of which are made with high-quality ingredients and expertly prepared by a skilled chef. When you order the sushi combo, you might want to specify whether you would prefer more rolls or more sashimi. Tokyo Sushi also offers a range of other Japanese dishes, including ramen and udon. The udon is a great finish to the filling meal. I highly recommend Tokyo Sushi if you're in the area!"

"**Tuna and Salmon Tartar (2/5):** While beautifully presented, the seasoning was lacking, and the freshness was not quite there. The chips were somewhat soggy, which took away from the enjoyment of the dish. It was decent but not particularly memorable. **Octopus (5/5):** Cooked and seasoned to perfection, this dish came with a delicious sauce that added a creamy, savory finish. Highly recommended! **Ribeye (4/5):** Cooked perfectly to medium rare, but the seasoning was uneven. A quick sprinkle with salt would easily fix this. **Rack of Lamb (2/5):** It had great flavor, but it was unfortunately undercooked and too rare. It definitely needed more sauce, as some pieces were lacking in it, making it difficult to enjoy. **Seafood Risotto (10/5):** No, that’s not a mistake! This is by far one of the best risottos we've ever tasted, and we will definitely return for it. The only minor issue was that many of the meats from the mussels and clams fell out, leaving mostly shells. Nonetheless, I highly recommend it—you won’t regret trying it! **Tuna Florentina (1/5):** This was definitely one of our least favorite dishes. The tuna lacked flavor, and the orecchiette was inconsistently cooked, with some pieces soft and others hard. I wouldn't recommend this one. **Linguine Carbonara (3.75/5):** Rich, creamy, and well-seasoned. While it didn't blow us away, it was still a solid choice and you can't go wrong with it. **Soft Shell Crab Pasta (4/5):** This was a fun and delicious dish, with the soft shell crab providing a nice contrast in flavor and texture. Quite good! Overall, while the experience was enjoyable, it wasn’t without its flaws. The location and service were wonderful, but the food has room for improvement. On a positive note, everything came out quickly and together. Blue has great potential, and I have no doubt they will continue to evolve and enhance their offerings. I hope that next time I can give them the five stars I believe they are capable of achieving! Thank you for reading, and best of luck to them!"

"Here's another jewel in Bayridge Brooklyn. If you haven't eaten here, make sure to stop! Nothing like delicious food served by a professional cook right at the grill! Good vibes and staff, the food speaks for itself. Zombie drink is delicious don't let this fool. It's in no case weak. I am very happy to come back soon!"

"Really pretty place, warm and welcoming staff. We shared grilled octopus Portuguese style to start with roasted potatoes, olives, tomatoes and onions. Mains were paccheri with boar ragu and chicken val d’aosta. An apple tart and tartufo for dessert. Everything was expertly prepared and delicious. Excellent wine selection as you’d expect from a wine bar. Thoughtful attention to detail the occasion was my husband’s birthday and his dessert was brought out with a candle. We won’t wait for a special occasion to return."

"Fantastic! They just did a full renovations on this place and it came out beautiful. And best part is the food is still delicious. Started with a warm focaccia bread with some ice cold NYC water to open up the palette. This time we tried mozzarella battens also the Burger and drunken dumplings (dont let name fool ya) its a pasta dish and its off the hook. The vodka sauce was some of the best i ever had. The owner Joe out did himself again. What a great environment perfect for date night or even a quick bite. The wait staff was great George explained some of the dishes. One thing it was lacking was alcohol. I hope soon. But the food makes up for it. We will be back of course."

"Fabulous atmosphere, clean, open, elegant. Excellent service. Vegan items are labeled on the menu. The mint Chutney was the best I've ever had! They gave me extra to go because I loved it so much. Portions very reasonable for the price. Had the vegetable platter (veggie fritters aren't vegan, so the omnis are those). Chana masala and alloo Gobi. The Gobi was excellent."

"Delicious, decadent food, warm and cozy atmosphere, and lovely staff. Got appetizers to share with the table. Great servings! We ordered the stuffed sweet plantain, Sartén de Chorizo y Queso (my favorite. It came with warm corn tortillas) and super nachos. Get the Sartén. You can’t go wrong."

"my mom and I shared the “The Reel Catch”. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The perfect choice for 2 people. She got a lobster tail, I got crab legs. We split 2 lbs of shrimp. We enjoyed it and had leftovers.Service: 1/5 our server was not very attentive or hospitable. She mumbled a lot and we finished our entire meal without ever having her check on us. I could understand if it was busy, but it was a Tuesday afternoon and there was only one other family in the restaurant. The manager had to personally ask her to bring us more napkins.Atmosphere: not very upbeat. Music was painfully agonizing. The overall vibe was dim and unexciting. At the end of the day, I took 2 trains, 1 ferry and a city bus and my visit was simply not impressive. But at least we enjoyed our food, so shout out to the kitchen staff. Unfortunately happy hour only applies if you sit at the bar. Wouldn’t visit this location again because an experience is more than just good food!"

"been there 3 times, each time more pathetic than the last. This place has some of the worst god damned food I have ever eaten, from burnt brisket to over seasoned chicken to just garbage service. Yeah, they redid the decor and the 5 of us in the entire place took notice for a hot second but in all honesty the owners should sell off their shiny stills cut the electric and call it a night. The drinks suck, the staff was undertrained and god forbid you ask them to slightly customize an order for a child you get a it only comes this way, it 's the only way we know how to make it def. not michellan star material. I could care less for the pretentious wanna be brooklyn hipster craft beer **** and their bartenders couldn 't make a decent cocktail to save their lives. do yourselves a favor. follow my 3 strike rule and don 't go there. I will never waste my time in this well decorated dumpster fire of a restaurant/brewery. Go buy a 6 pack at a bodega and support a local business worth your money, this place isn 't it."

"We came here the day after New Year's since our usual pizza place was closed. We ordered a large traditional cheese pizza for takeout, and it was ready in 30 minutes and still hot. The pizza looked decent and had a delicious aroma. Unfortunately, it was only average at best. The pizza sauce had a strong vinegar flavor that made it taste sour. A good bite of pizza should have a nice balance of bread, sauce, and cheese, but that wasn't the case here. It felt like they just scattered cheese and sauce unevenly across the pizza. I'm not sure why they prepared it this way, especially for a traditional cheese pizza. The crust was quite dry and below average as well. I'm not sure if this place is known for their specialty pizzas, but their traditional cheese pie left a lot to be desired."

"I had an absolutely amazing experience at Bin 5 and I highly recommend that everyone reading this drop what they are doing and immediately make a reservation here. I had wanted to go for a while and never made the time but I am so glad that I finally did. Every employee we spoke with was kind, attentive, and happy to answer any questions we had. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and feels cozy in a modern way. Every single dish that we ordered was divine, including the bread we were given in the beginning of our meal. The meatball small plate was out of this world delicious. I wish I had some right now. My family still raves about them. I also ordered the heirloom tomato salad and thoroughly enjoyed it (I've tried to copy it at home and it's never as good). My father loved his grilled salmon, especially the beurre blanc sauce, and my mother and I really enjoyed our pappardelle bolognese. Everything tasted wonderful and fresh. We also ordered the berries and cream dessert which was great and the star of the show the pistachio walnut cake. That cake was so amazing that I will never forget it. I'll absolutely be back to try some more items and order the meatballs and pistachio walnut cake again! Just a wonderful experience all around."

"my family and I were present tonight for dinner. we ordered two cakes, a starter and a toner of soda. my man I paid, and we left the table with the children. before leaving children and hubby had to use the bathroom. the waitress waited for my man outside the toilet room and even approached my daughter to ask if this is the place to stay. my man came out and the waitress informed me that we didn't pay. my man was confused and confused - he checked the bill and informed the waitress who wasn't our bill. the waitress did not check the bill and thought it was our, while in reality it was another family bill consisting of 10 people. the waitress did not apologize for her careless mistake. the waitress approached “us”, a family of color. in this experience and such a microagression was not respected."

"I 'm so torn with this review. During COVID-19 I ordered religiously from this place every order was over $100 tried everything on the menu. Decided one night to go in and have a sit-down dinner. I have to say it was more wannabe hipster vibe vs a gritty Gastropub. The food was confusing. The cocktails were eh. Very unimpressed to say the least. However!!! The live entertainment was legit! Would go back just for the musical talent! They also tried to rectify the cocktail, but it just doesn 't right when you have to basically make it yourself."

"We went here for a friend's birthday we had a party of 16 people. We went on a Friday night so I'm not sure if it's customary for them to have live music but they did have live music there. The singer was excellent at times through the night even the owner got on the mic to sing. It was very loud and fun atmosphere. If you're looking to go for a quiet romantic night this is not the place to go LOL at least not when there is live entertainment. Service was very friendly and very efficient considering we were a table of 16. Appetizers came out when we were completed it was a reasonable amount of wait time until our dinners came out and a reasonable amount of wait time for dessert. The place was decorated beautifully, food was delicious the owner was super friendly and singing with the live entertainment. Overall we had a great time I would definitely go back again on a night that wasn't for a party just to experience a regular dinner. I would also like to try different things on the menu because everybody's entree looked delicious. Parking was street parking."

"The staff here is fantastic, and the owners are incredibly kind. We always enjoy our time at CAFE GOURMAND, and the music adds to the atmosphere. It’s also a very family-friendly place! I highly recommend it for a night out, a family dinner, or any special occasion. If you're planning a party, it's best to book in advance, as they get quite busy—especially on weekends. The restaurant is cozy and not very large, which adds to its charm. Thank you for having us last night; it was absolutely superb!"
